HUNTING IN MAINE... At Thompson Guide Service we offer deer, bear and moose hunts. Also,
we offer bear trapping. The bucks in our area tend to be in the 120" to 180" class and weigh up to 250 pounds. The average
size bear is 150 pounds, but can reach upwards of 400 pounds.

HOW WE HUNT Most of your hunting will be on private land. However, we are
only a step away from thousands of acres of public land that is prime for hunting.
The deer hunting is done mostly
from treestands and ground blinds. However, some still-hunting is also done. The bear hunting is done from treestands over
active baits. If you wish to trap a bear you can use a snare or a steel trap near active bait. All bear and moose hunts are
fully guided. Fully guided deer hunts are optional.
ACCOMODATIONS The hunting camp is located approximately
2 miles in on a privately owned road in Wellington, Maine. It is surrounded by a 1000 acres of woodland that is yours to hunt.
The
camp is self-contained with heat, and hot and cold water. The kitchen has a gas stove and refrigerator.
