0-2 Units of Sappers...................15 Points per model

Written by Geoff Eberle

The Dwarf Engineers Guild is an ancient, obsessively secretive organisation. Foremost of its well known activities include the manufacture of the variety of Dwarf War Machines. Amongst its other activities, the Guild also produces some of the worlds most resourceful engineers. As part of their extensive apprenticeship these Guild Engineers are required to complete a tour of 'field duties'. The duties of these aspiring apprentice engineers entail field construction's and demolition's, on the battlefield. Constructions include the building of wooden stockades and bridges. Demolition's of existing field constructions and buildings, also form an important aspect to the Guild Engineers training. So, in times of need, Dwarf Generals often enlist a team of these Guild Engineers, commonly referred to as Dwarf Sappers.

Dwarf Sappers must work in regiments of at least 2 and no more than 6 models. Hence, Dwarf Sapper Teams are an exception to the minimum 5 models to a unit rule. A single survivor of a Dwarf Sapper Team is of no special use and is not allowed any of the Special Rule abilities of the Sapper's, unless he can join another Sapper team. Sappers who move less than an 1" in any Turn can Construct field works.
