The following pictures were sent to me by George Tower
George was one the the Tortuga shipmates I
was privileged to serve with.
Thanks George for sharing your Tortuga memories with us.

I came across your website, from an email at the Hickman County, LST-825 site. I was looking at George Towers (58-59)
pictures. The very first picture is of George at the rail with an LKA in the background.
That LKA is the USS Tulare, LKA-112.
I was aboard her from 73 to 74.
By the way, you have a great site, really enjoyed it.

Ship in background is the USS Tulare, LKA-112
Good shot looking aft.

Tower on 02 deck, above Second Division.
Taken from the TT, unidentified LSD in background.
Could be the Whetstone LSD-27, or the Colonial, LSD-18
It's posable the Carrier is the USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31)
The Bonny Dick!
Any suggestions?
