"I got a fish" said the second fisherman. "Oh it's that dum turtle again!" so he throws it back into the creek.

Now this turtle is still hungry so he tries another worm & gets hooked again!

"Wait I got something on my line-Well its that greedy turtle again!!" says the third fisherman. "There's no getting rid of him! Every time we throw our lines in he grabs our bait!" says the fourth fisherman. "He's going to end up eating all our bait- maybe we should eat him!" says the fifth fisherman. "He ain't big enough to eat, we will have to kill him." says the first fisherman. "Yeah if we want to catch any fish we will have to get rid of him!"says another fisherman.

Cassidy had been across the creek picking wild flowers, when she heard the fishermen discussing how they would kill the turtle so they could fish for fish. "No you can't kill him just because he is hungry!" she said.

"How could he be hungry? He has eaten a whole can of worms!" said the fisherman.

"Give him to me, let me take care of him" said Cassidy,"& He won't eat any more of your worms."

"You just keep him out of out fishing hole" said the fisherman, and he gave the little turtle to Cassidy.

Cassidy took the little turtle home & put him in a wading pool. She dug up a bunch of worms for the little turtle And offered him fruits & veggies. He also liked to eat cat & dog food. Soon he was a big turtle!
