Mission: The mission of the Columbus zoo is to educate people on the natural world. By providing exhibits and educational opportunities the Columbus Zoo hopes to brighten awareness of nature.

Open to the Public: Yes

Admission: Admission for Children ages 2-11 is $5.00, for adults ages 12-59 is $9.00, for children under 2 is free, and for seniors 59 and up is $7.00.

Exhibits: The Columbus zoo offers an exhibit with Asian Small Clawed Otters. This exhibit defines the Otter's role in the ecological systems all around the world.

Events/Classes/Activities : There are many activities for teachers to do with their classes that take a visit to the zoo. The programs listed in the website above explain in detail the education of each program to better protect the environment and animals around us.

Volunteer Opportunities: The zoo offers a program called FACES, which requires volunteers to donate their time to struggling nations all around the world. Abroad volunteer opportunities can also be reached through the Columbus Zoo. The abroad work has been done in several foreign countries, for instance a project was done in South Africa.
