My S.C.A. Name is Leonid "Britva" Nicholiavitch
I am a 13th century gypsy of Russian descent.  Although Gypsies travel to where ever the wind takes them I currently reside in shire of Black Lake, part of the Kingdom of Ansteorra (Texas and Oklahoma).

I am a sinistar handed (left handed) heavy weapons fighter, an infrequent bard, a more infrequent jester, and very frequently a good friend.  Called by Britva the Jester, Britva the Crazed, Britva the Drunk, Britva the (insert appropriate adjective or noun), I am a jack of all trades, master of none.  Although I am literate in life, poor Britva can not read a lick.
Gulf War Picture Here I stand in the black and red with two of my best friends, Wee Lan MacGregor (Lan Powers) and Aaron MacGregor (Michael Geisendorff).  Ready to battle for Ansteorra during the second Gulf War.

Aaron was recently knighted (Huzzah!!!) It was a long wait for someone who has long possessed the skills, abilities and ethics of a knight.

Well, it's been forever since I updated these pages - Aaron MacGregor succeeded in his goals. He and his wife were recentley King and Queen of Ansteora. A great accomplishment for a great friend!

I have been told that I am a decent fighter. Of course the left handed advantage is always helpful. I always seem to give more bruises I recieve. Hopefully, that will be the case when I soon begin fighting again.

Here I am fighting a king, I believe of Meridies.

Although it looks as though I perhaps had the upper hand, I assure you it was not long before he pummeled some sense into me.
 
 

 

 Fighting at Gulf War

The SCA is a living history organization.  We recreate the best aspects of Medieval life.  Knighthood, Virtue, Chivalry, Arts and Sciences, Armoring and Metal smithing.  Personally I like the home brewed alchohols and the belly dancers, but hey Im a gypsy not a knight.
