SMITH & WESSON MODEL NO. 1½ SECOND ISSUE |
Model No. 1½ Second Issue-This revolver was manufactured from 1868 through about 1875 with about 100,700 being produced. This pistol is a.32 rimfire with a 5-shot fluted cylinder with a 3½"round barrel. It has a blued finish with rosewood grips. As on many S&W revolvers the serial number is everything in determing the particular model. This was an improved version of the Model 1½ First Issue, it has a more streamlined appearance and internally it features the cylinder stop in the topstrap, rather than the bottomstrap as on the previous Issue. |
