Mittermeier's Mouse Lemur (Microcebus mittermeieri)

MORPHOLOGY:
Mittermeier's mouse lemur has an average body mass of around 40 grams (Louis et al., 2006). The dorsum and head pelage are light reddish brown to rust, having an orange tint at the base of the forelimbs and hindlimbs (Louis et al., 2006). The ventral side has a whitish brown coloration (Louis et al., 2006). Along the rostrum past the eyes, there is a distinctive white patch (Louis et al., 2006). Beneath each eye and under the chin extending along the ventral side of the neck, there is a yellowish coloration (Louis et al., 2006). The tail is colored black on the ventral side and on the tip, and brown with a mid-dorsal brown stripe on the dorsal side (Louis et al., 2006).

RANGE:
Mittermeier's mouse lemur is found in Eastern Madagascar in Anjanaharibe-Sud Special Reserve (Louis et al., 2006).
