Joseph Demanuele is a widely published photographer based in Malta. He specialises in what he calls 'environmental portraiture' - pictures of people in a context. Monochrome is the medium that he starts with, however the finished images are rarely left in their virginal state. Adulteration, is an art in itself and he can never resist the temptation to add more to his photography than nature intended...
