Martin A Case is a former pastor of the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church.  He retired in June, 2000 after 6 years as pastor of First United Methodist in Batesville.  Before then he served as District Superintendent of the Meridian District.  He helped co-author the evangelism booklet, "Four Great Emphases of United Methodism," produced by the former Board of Evangelism of the Mississippi Conference and now published by "Discipleship Resources" in Nashville, TN.

In 1954 he received the B.A. degree from Asbury College, and in 1957 he received the B.D. degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.  He did work toward a Th.M. degree at the Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg, PA.  In 1988 he was honored by Wesley Biblical Seminary, Jackson, MS, with a Doctor of Divinity degree.

Dr. Case was elected to the General Conference of United Methodism in 1992 and 1996.  He was elected to the 2000 Jurisdictional Conference at Lake Junaluska.
