Their New York events were held at Village Ma in the heart of Greenwich Village where Air Tabigue and Elliot Chang were the winners. These comics won a free trip to Hawaii to perform on "The TakeOut Comedy Show" on March 29th as part of Xentopia – that has been described as "An Unprecedented 8-Day Celebration in Honolulu to Launch WorldAsia Television (WATV), A New National Cable Network between March 25~April 1, 2004

Every other Saturday, Amy Anderson hosts this cutting edge show features a line up of the top Asian American comedians in the country. Check out www.geocities.com/amysfunny for all the show details. Group rates and industry comps available.

"CHOPSHTICK"

Comic Tom Teska hosts the Chopshtick: Asian-American Stand-Up Comedy Night ( East Meets Jest) at 8:30 P.M. at the Gotham Comedy Club ( 34 West 22nd). Call (212) 367-9000 or e-mail for reservations. There is a $10.00 cover charge and a "2 Drink Minimum" for this "reserved seating" event.

Chopshtick is the brainchild of Tom Teska, Korean-American adoptee

and comedian, who believes there is an audience for an Asian-American stand-up comedy night. So he turned to one of the best comedy clubs in NYC: Gotham Comedy Club.

Chopshtick is the only monthly Asian-American stand-up comedy night in NY that features only Asian-American stand-up comics (as far as Tom knows), and the talent is tremendous. Steve Byrnes (Star Search, Comedy Central), Eliot Chang (Project Mayhem, New Joke City), and Ryo Kioke (Last Comic Standing), to name a few, have been on the show.
