Other Duties/Privileges of the President:
If a President dies in office or resigns, the Vice President succeeds him/her in office. After the Vice-President is the Speaker of the House, and then the President pro tempore.

A President may be removed from office for the following reasons:

The Vice President

  • Term of Office: 4 years
  • Method of Election: Runs as running partner with President, Electoral College
  • Special Purpose: Head of Senate (The Vice-President is the only elected official to serve in more than one branch of government) To be a Vice President, you must:
    • Be at least 35 years old
    • Be a natural born US citizen and
    • Have lived in the US for the past 14 years
