The Anime Story
She was the successor of Rubeus and quite happy to take his place. Esmeraude loved Prince Demand very much which led her to hate Sailor Moon with a passion (because, of course, Demand was in love with the soldier... actually her future self - Neo-Queen Serenity). She tried to make sure "her" prince did not capture Sailor Moon at any cost, even secretly helping the sailor soldier escape from his clutches. Her mission was to set up her Dark Henge throughout chosen point in our present day Tokyo. The Dark Henge were black crystal objects that would grow until they completely overtook the location. She was, however, always stopped by the Sailor Soldiers. In the end, her hatred for Sailor Moon became so over-powering that she was lured into the Wise Man's trap. She thought she would become the queen of the Black Moon but instead the dark power took over her body, transforming her into a huge dragon. She was defeated by Sailor Moon and her final thoughts were of her beloved prince of the Black Moon.

Personality
Her laugh was piercing and she was a proud, stuck-up woman who's jealously was second to none [I guess that's why she wears green]. She was quite gluttonous but that was the least of her troubles. Esmeraude loved Prince Demand very much, but he didn't seem to think twice about her. In her jealously, she was easily lured into Wise Man's trap.
