Roared the large, dark haired man, as he barged into Queen Serenity's chambers. Startled, one of her ladies-in-waiting jumped. Her crochet flying haphazardly out her fingers. She had been quietly conversing with her queen by the open window. A servant had been in the process of fluffing her majesty's pillows, when she squawked. "Serenity! Damnit, woman where are you?" Sir Thomas bellowed again, effectively scattering everyone present and out of the queen's rooms. He searched the large chambers and could not find her. "Thomas!" Queen Serenity almost yelled back, astonished. "What in the world has gotten into you, that you have to charge into my rooms and scare the wits out of my servants?" She demanded, exasperated. "I'll tell you why! Your daughter has been trapsin' around the Moon with that Prince! I won't have it, damnit!" He yelled again. "Thomas, what are you rambling about?" Serenity asked, puzzled now. "What Prince? Which one?" This wasn't like Thomas at all. His face was ready to explode. It was beat red. "Thomas, for Moon sakes! Calm down, before you blow a nerve, darling." She lead him to one of her lounge areas. He was breathing slightly heavy, worrying her. "Damnit woman, I don't want to sit down!" He replied angrily, taking his arm from her. A slight, red flush blossomed across' Queen Serenity's face. "Would you please, kindly tell me what this is all about. And just in case you've forgotten, Serena happens to be my daughter!" "Didn't I tell you! Didn't I tell you not to let that girl just run ruckus! And Darien!" Sir Thomas huffed, indignant. He ignored the Serenity's last comment. "Darien? What about Darien?" Serenity asked, alert to the name. "That insolent whelp!" "Thomas!" "How dare he look at Serena that way! I'll have his head on a platter if he so much lays a hand on Serena!" Never mind that all day he had been totten' praises about the young man. He had heard nothing but wonderful praises regarding the prince's negotiating etiquette. Prince Darien of Earth was already well on his way establishing an excellent reputation as an Ambassador for the reunification of Earth and the surrounding planets. Sir Thomas himself, had worked next the young prince, not too long ago. He had been amazed at the young man's abilities in foreseeing the future prospects and complexities that came with politics. It was indeed, a rarity for the younger generation. He himself had also been singing the prince's praises, when the rumors reached his ears. The prince had been on his balcony a couple of days ago, when Serena had stepped out onto her own. This he could not believe, not his wonderful girl. Serena apparently, as rumor was told, had been almost naked! Oh, what that did to his poor heart! All the men present, had practically fell to their knees. He couldn't blame the prince totally, he was a man after all. Darien from gossip, had also stood on his balcony, enraptured. What Sir Thomas didn't understand, was why Darien? Darien had been her childhood friend, since Earth starting communicating with the Moon, almost two decades ago. Darien, for that matter, hadn't even given Serena a glance while she was maturing. Of course, Thomas had heard of some of the short affairs Darien had had with some of the older moon noble ladies. Darien usually stayed away from the young virgins. His baby had better still be a virgin or heads were going to roll! Of course, he knew his thoughts were getting the better of him. Perhaps, heads wouldn't roll, but a marriage would be in order. And if that young man didn't care to be hitched, well too bad! Thomas would drag that young man to alter himself! "Oh Thomas, calm down." Serenity said as she tried to gather her thoughts together. "Do you forget who is in the next chambers? Humph?" She asked her longtime companion and lover. When Thomas looked at her with an almost glazed look, she sighed exasperated, again. "Augusta, you old reprobate." "Oh! Oh yeah, I clean forgot." Thomas huffed again. In spite of himself, he did calm down. Being next Serenity had that effect on a person. Perhaps, that was one of the reasons why she was such a good ruler. She had the same effect on her kingdom. Now, Serena on the other hand. That was a wild one. He thought of Serenity's past husband. He had never met him. He had passed away ages ago. When Serenity was not even a ruler. A princess in own right, then. Young and beautiful, even then she had been wise beyond her tender years. Serenity had, singularly picked out her husband, against her parents wishes. Julius was a kind gentleman and a commoner. Serenity had loved him deeply. That was one of the reasons why she stayed unmarried all these centuries. Thomas could not understand where Serena had inherited her not so good traits. Certainly not from her parents. Serenity did mention once, that one of her ancestors, her great-great grandmother if he recalled, had been a wild one. Well, Serena did have many of the woman's similar features, when you looked at all the portraits that were hanging in the great hall. "Prince Darien has finally taken an interest in Serena, you say?" Serenity asked Thomas, who nodded. "Well, it's a lot sooner than I thought." "What do you mean, by that, Serenity?" Thomas glowered at her. "Oh darling, Augusta and I have been hoping against all odds that Darien would take an interest in Serena. Apparently, they have progressed a lot faster in their relationship than I thought." She got up to look out the window, wondering where her daughter was at the moment. "How come I'm usually the last to know about what you two are always cooking up, huh?" Thomas got up to join her at the window. "That girl is practically my daughter. I love her like she's my own, you know?" He came up behind her. "Yes, I know. I don't know what I would have done without your help, Thomas." She turned around to smile tremulously. "Serena believes you are her father even though she knows he passed away years ago, you know that, don't you?" "Yes, I do." He kissed her forehead, thoughtfully. "Tell me, what are you and Augusta up to?" "We were hoping to tie the kingdoms together, Thomas. But, I didn't want to push Serena. I wanted to her to make the choice herself. I thought of Darien. Well, because he seemed to be the right choice. They have been childhood friends forever. She seemed to be totally in love with him. Especially, since his last visit, with her throwing off her childhood. He is handsome, intelligent and he would have tamed her. Of course, Augusta and I had been holding our breaths for a moment there. Considering, how much attention Darien had been receiving from all the beautiful ladies here and on Earth." She laughed. Thomas sighed. "Well, I can tell you this, Serenity, " Thomas began, "I won't have that young man taking advantage of our girl. If he's done more than kiss her--there'll be a wedding! Kingdoms, or no kingdoms!" "Thomas, I swear. I guess there has be an influenceable presence behind every good ruler." She smiled fondly. "Damn right, woman" Thomas chuckled. "Someone has to keep you ladies in check." For that, he got a slight nudge in the stomach. Laughing, he said, "Why don't we have a little chat with Augusta and see if she's caught wind of what's going on. Then we can set about tracking down our elusive daughter and that prince." Serenity's elusive daughter and that prince, happened to be in that prince's chambers. They had indulged for the last couple days in various, forbidden rendezvous. As they were now. It was early in the afternoon, and slightly cool for a late spring day. They had after making love, retired to the bath, to luxuriant in the steaming, hot water. Serena had snuck into his chambers earlier that day, dismissing the servants so that she could attend to him herself. This had made him late for a commerce meeting and had distracted him during the entire meeting itself. Some the other delegates in attendance from the various planets had either snickered or pretended that nothing was going on. Only Jadeite, one of Darien's outer ambassadors could not contain his mirth at Darien's expense. "Oh you're a sad case, if I ever did see one, Darien." Jadeite had laughed. Darien joined him, "Have pity." This made them both chuckle under their breaths, trying not to disrupt the meeting. "I just can't keep a secret around here, can I?" "Not when you have your head in the clouds and a silly grin plastered on your face. No, I suppose not." Jadeite laughed again. Jadeite was enjoying his first visit and stay at the Moon. No wonder so many of his colleagues jumped at the chance to visit the Moon Kingdom. Serenity and prosperity reigned throughout the kingdom. And the ladies! They were graceful and lovely beyond comparison! Even down to the common folk, who were educated and genuinely loyal to their queen. Jadeite had almost met all of the princesses and princes from the surrounding planets. He had yet to meet this infamous princess of the Moon. He also had not met the princess of Mars, Raye. He had briefly watched her argue amiably with one of her instructors during a Senshi training session. Not only was she gorgeous, but she had fire, too! Imaging trying to tame that spirit! In spite of himself, he looked forward to meeting her. He chided himself. Just like Darien, he tried to steer clear of virgins. They always turned out to be nothing but trouble, as far as he was concerned. It still did not diminished the anticipation of meeting the Princess of Mars. The meeting had concluded none too fast for Darien. He had rushed back to his rooms so that he could enjoy leisurely exploring Serena. They were in the large bath relaxing and indulging one another's company. Darien was pleasantly aroused, which was a constant state for him these days. Serena was leaning her wet back against his chest. She was enjoying his attentions, her eyes were closed. Her pink mouth was slightly parted, inhaling tiny heated breaths. Her full breasts were covered in puffs of bubbles, the soft top mounds visible for his lowered gaze. His hand underwater, was gently caressing and molding one of her breasts to his delight. "Serena, you know I return to tomorrow?" Darien broke into the heated silence. "Yes, Darien. It is an issue that I've tried not to dwell on." Serena replied, his fingers were doing wicked things to her senses. "I've been trying to think of a way of breaking the news to your mother and to my mother." He sighed. Alarmed, Serena turned around to face her beloved. She noticed Darien's eyes immediately dip to her dripping, wet breasts. Ah, how could one think logically when your mind was elsewhere? "Darien, we can't tell mama until we're married." "What do mean?" Darien mischievous eyes looked up from her torso and into her bright, blue eyes. "I mean, they must have some whiff of what is going on." Serena blushed thinking of the rumors spreading. Most of them were true. She was sure her mother and Sir Thomas had heard of them. Her eyes widen at the name. Sir Thomas! My God, he'll kill Darien! "We definitely must not tell mama or Thomas! He'll kill you, Darien! I know how he is, he won't abide what we're doing. However right it feels." "This is one time, I will agree with you, Serena." Darien frowned thoughtfully. He was trying to think of a way that they could be together. Time was running out for them. "We could leave now, Darien." Serena broke into his thoughts. "We could elope on the ship to Earth. By the time we got to Earth, we would be married and no one could interfere into our affairs." She suggested, her heart leaping bounds at the thought. Darien gazed into her hopeful eyes. She was everything he wanted in a woman and much more. He wanted nothing more than to marry her. This was a good answer to their present predicament. Although, he concluded it was not a very wise choice. Yet, it answered all the excuses of marrying her. She could be all his in a couple of hours. "If this is what you want, Serena?" he asked, hesitantly. "Oh yes! Yes, darling!" Serena almost screeched in happiness, throwing her wet arms around Darien. He closed his eyes and kissed her damp tendrils as the feeling of deep tenderness washed over him. Serena kissed him deeply, causing him to groanas her curves molded to his body. "Let's go now, Darien?" She pulled away from him, leaving him dazed. "Couldn't we just delay a moment longer?" He almost begged as his wayward eyes roamed over her wet breasts and naked thighs. He was still harvesting some pain here. "Oh silly, hurry!" She pulled him from the tub, while he groaned and laughed. "Raye! What are you doing here?" Serena gasped out, astonished as she and Darien came out of the bathing room. They were cuddling and generally touching each other as lovers were ought to do, when love was new and exciting. Raye had been in the act of disrobing in Darien's room. It was apparent from what little Serena had glimpsed that she had nothing on underneath. A red flush erupted across Serena's cheeks and her mouth dropped as she realized what the girl was up to. Why, the sly little wench! She was going to kill her! Darien was just as amazed to see the princess of Mars in his rooms. "What the hell?" Raye gasped as her eyes centered on Serena. It wasn't just a rumor. All her planning was for naught. Darien was a taken man. Hastily, she pulled the robe back on, as red heat covered her from her head to her toes. Oh, the embarrassment of it all. "Oh my God, Serena. I had no idea. Honestly. I didn't believe the rumors. Oh God, I'm so sorry. I'm soooo embarrassed!" Hot tears welled up in her eyes, she whirled around and slammed out the room. They could hear a loud exclamation as bodies collided, on the other side of Darien's door. From the deep tenor of his voice, Darien made out the voice to belong to Jadeite. All the anger deflated out of Serena, "Raye!" she called out. "It's okay. I'm not mad you, how could you have known." She finished, whispering. "She'll be alright, Serena. She's just a trifle embarrassed." Darien touched her shoulder, coming up behind her. "I know, Darien." She turned around to face him, a frown creasing her brow. "Hey, come on. We have a date with a captain on a ship bound for Earth." He said trying to lighten the mood of disaster. Her eyes lit up like a beacon in the night, the embarrassing scene forgotten. "What are you waiting for? Get dressed!" She exclaimed, giggling happily again. They were married on the small starship vessel, Infinity. It was a quiet ceremony with only the captain marrying them and his first mate as a witness. The captain had faltered his step slightly, when requested to perform a marriage ceremony. At first, he had looked around the couple, wondering who was getting married, until Darien cleared his throat. The captain croaked and then smiling, nodded happily. Wait until his wife hears of this, and the grandchildren will do somersaults! He had performed the marriage of the century! The Earth Prince and the Princess of the Moon, no less. Even his first mate had a silly grin on his face. It was some hours later, as they were approaching the Earth's atmosphere, did Serena become aware of pale-bluish, aura beginning to surround her. Darien looked at her almost as bewildered as a similar silver aura enveloped him. They were in their cabin, eating a simple dinner of cold cuts of ham, crackers, cheese, grapes, chucks of chocolate and some white wine to celebrate their vows. Serena got up from her reclining position against the pillows of their bed. Perplexed, she walked to the center of their room, glancing around at the aura surrounding her. Darien with a similar frown, did the same. From within her, she began to hear voices that sounded distant, like the sound of an immense ocean. Yet, the combined sounds sounded like many things. All of the sudden, the voices boomed loud. She looked at Darien with fright in her eyes. "Darien, I'm hearing voices!" She almost screeched out, trying to be heard above the sound. "I know. I hear them, too." He looked back at her, uncertain what to do. The voices seemed to perpetuate their entire room. The auras intensified around them. "I call upon the power of the Moon! I am your vessel! Protect me, oh faithful Moon! By the power invested in me, do as I ask of you!" Serena shouted, proclaiming her heritage. A tiny, golden moon crescent symbol appeared on her forehead, and her chemise blazed into a white, shimmering gown. The moon princess's formal gown. A beam of intense light of silver appeared from her crescent symbol on her forehead, throwing her head back from the force of it. Darien in turned called on his heritage, "I call upon the power of the Earth! I am your vessel! Protect me, of faithful One! By the powers invested in me and by my forefathers, do as I ask of you!" He voice boomed. A round, shimmering blue globe representing earth appeared on his forehead. His boxers disappeared and in it's place stood the prince's formal armor and sword. A powerful beam of blue erupted from Darien's symbol on his forehead, also throwing his head back. Their bodies lifted together, suspending them in the air. The auras infused with the prince's and princess's beams. The entire starship was enveloped by the intensifying light, the mingling of silver and blue. The ship was paralyzed above Earth's atmosphere. The beam of light was visible to all the planets, from Mercury to Pluto. "We are here." Two voices replied. They were the same voices that they had been hearing, yet distinctive and clear now. "By the Moon!" Serena's eyes snapped open in shock as she looked over at Darien. The Moon's silver beam of light enveloped him. "Welcome Darien, to the family." The Moon's voice replied in him. Darien nodded is head in amazement. What a welcoming, he thought, transfixed. "Welcome, Serena. Our home is yours, always." The Earth's voice vibrated inside of her. The shimmering, blue beam of lights swam throughout her being like the calm waters that Earth was famous for. "Thank you." She said, humbled. "You're welcome, child." It replied back. Then suddenly, they were gone. Serena and Darien landed gently on their feet, as if they were cradled like babes in a manger. They looked at each other in astonishment. On both of their foreheads were their symbols of their representing planet, with the crescent moon interlocking with the blue Earth. Serena smiled joyously as she ran into Darien's arms. He swept her up into his hard embrace, never wanting to let her go. "You've heard?" Queen Augusta asked her long time friends. With the beams erupting from Earth, all gathered in the palace of the Moon had transformed. All the Sailor Senshi's were present, inner and outer. They had all been teleported unbeknownst to them, from where ever they had been. They had arrived shocked to the core, as they stood in the Palace's Crescent Great Room, trembling. "How could we not?" Serenity stated, slightly shaken by the event. She had never witnessed that amount of power in her entire lifetime. "Well, apparently your plan worked, you two." Sir Thomas chuckled. Oh this was a great day, indeed. "Yes, but at least, they could have waited for a grand wedding!" Queen Augusta sighed despairingly, throwing her hands up in the air. "Yes, I definitely agree, Augusta." Serenity joined her friend, smiling. "Women!" King Damian replied, disgusted. He had been teleported too, for this grand event. And here he listening to his wife and Serenity, complaining about what could have beens. "My thoughts, exactly!" Sir Thomas groaned, then his great shoulders shook of laughter as happiness overwhelmed him. The feeling was catching, as pure, joyous laughter rang throughout the palace's walls. Into the courtyard the sound travelled and then beyond to people of the moon. The End...for now.
