Hi this is my first fanfic so bare with me. This is romantic story. It's got a lot of mushy stuff in it. There will be action later on though. I actually wrote this part of the story after I wrote the end. Okay. Sailor Moon doesn't belong to me so don't sue me. Have something to say? E-mail me at krisiss@hotmail.com The First Four: Part One: The Loneliness He was swallowed, swimming in darkness for eternity. He had stopped trying to escape long ago. The struggling had just made it more horrible the darkness seemed to get darker when he tried to resist. He hadn't seen light in so long not since the last had died in her eyes. He guessed it was his punishment. To live with his guilt for all of time. To know that he had betrayed and killed the one who made his life complete. The other part of his soul. He had killed her in cold blood. He could still see the look in her violet eyes as she fell to ground blood seeping from her stomach. It was dark and cold so cold then he felt the warmth. So little at first then growing stronger like a crackling fire on a cold winter's day. He basked in it. It felt so good to be warm he had been cold so long. His muddled mind tried to figure this out. How could it be warm? Was her spell wearing off? Could he escape? The thought was almost too much. Escape. Be free again. He could find her, watch her, protect her. He struggled with all his might. Kicking and punching. Pushing with what little power he had left. In darkest corner of the old dark kingdom a bright white light erupted. A great explosion occurred rocking the cavern where a dark crystal once sat. Shards of crystal went flying leaving a figure of a lone man. The man tried to stand pushing his scraggly blonde hair from his light blue eyes. He fell cutting himself on shards of crystal. He once again tried to stand refusing to give up not when she was still out there. The memory of her made his will stronger. He knew she was still on this earth now that he was out of the crystal he could sense her. She was attached to his soul all he had to do was follow his heart. He knew she would have none of him not with what he had done while he was under that evil witch Metellia control. She had no idea how much he had fought when he was under her control. Even under her evil spell he could've never hurt any of them. The good part of him fought so hard only to lose in the end. But know he was free. Free! He looked around wandering what of could set him free. He felt no evil here only the residue which evil left on things. Serenity must have defeated her long ago he thought as he looked around and brushed of his dark gray uniform. He started walking following the way his heart told him to. Out of the dark Kingdom and into the light that was a shining new world. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* A woman with long black hair and violet eyes ran down a marble hallway. " Rei come back," a cold voice yelled. Rei turned to look behind her. Oh God he was right behind her. She forced her weary legs to go faster. Faster. She ran out into a courtyard filled with blooming lilies and orchids. She looked around and screamed as she saw the bodies of her friends strewn about the courtyard. " Oh God Serenity," Rei screamed as she saw her best friend drenched in blood and draped over Endymion's dead body. She turned as she heard slow even footsteps coming from behind her. It was him. His blonde hair hung right in his eyes covering them from view. He laughed at her advancing backing her into a corner. He drew his sword stabbing her threw the stomach. She went down not feeling any pain. She looked finally able to see his eyes. It scared her scared her even more then dying did. They were empty. Not the normal blue color but black and endless black that swallowed you and drowned you. An evil color not a natural one. They held no emotion. It wasn't even him really. As she took her last breath she looked away from him at the bodies of her dead friends. " I'm sorry Serenity I've failed you." Rei woke up screaming drenched in sweat. She lay back down on the red satin sheets breathing hard and tears running down her face. She knew he was evil and dead to add to that, but he still plagued her. And God help her she still loved him. You couldn't wake up one day and stop loving the other part of your soul even if he had killed you in one life and tried to kill you in the next. Rei climbed out of bed and slipped into a robe padding across the room opening the door with the ruby symbol of Mars imprinted on it leaving her personal quarters. She slowly padded down the Hallway of Mars in the Crystal Palace. She walked out into a garden filled with blooming flowers. She breathed in the air of Crystal Tokyo. You could almost smell the peace. Just being here made her fell better. She walked along the winding paths until she came to a bench next to a small pond and under a weeping willow. She looked up at full moon shivering as a cool wind swept by ruffling her long hair. Goosebumps crept up her arms as she felt a presence that she had not felt for so long. She shivered and looked around. Jadeite hid behind a large tree looking at her. It had taken awhile to find her but he should have guessed she would be here in the bustling hub of Crystal Tokyo. She shivered in the cold. He wanted to go to her and hold her but he couldn't do it yet. He couldn't go to her not until he had done something to make up for all the wrongs he had done. He retreated deeper into the gardens. He would come back later. Rei looked behind her looking for something or someone. She chastised herself for being so stupid. You idiot he's been dead for hundreds of years he can't be here, and even if he was you would kill him for everything he's done. That's what her head was telling her but her heart was saying something else. She tried to push the thought back down but it came anyway. You could never kill him. You love him. You always will. He's here. You know he is. Go to him forgive him let him hold you. Let yourself love again. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Serenity awoke. She looked down at the sleeping Endymion. She carefully brushed a lock of lavender hair from his face and kissed him on the forehead. He mumbled in his sleep and pulled her closer to him. She carefully untangled herself from his arms and slipped out of bed. Her long silver hair flowing behind her she trod out to the balcony. She wrapped her arms around her self and looked up at the full moon. She listened to the sounds around her and tilted her head upward to the moon. " Mother," she said softly. " Mother they're coming back. I can feel them. One is already here. Oh mother what should I do?" Serenity whispered despair creeping into her voice. " I can't let them hurt anyone else but they're not bad people they deserve a chance." Serenity knew in her heart the answer. She would just have to stand back and watch. Watch her friends be hurt again. Maybe they would forgive them. Maybe not. She would just have to wait and see. She couldn't help the ones she loved. She was completely helpless. She couldn't do anything but stand back and watch. She looked out into the gardens. " Oh Rei," she whispered sadly as she saw her slowly walking back inside. She heard a rustling from inside and turned to go back inside. She went to him climbing back into bed. She kissed his forehead and whispered his name in his ear. " Usa," he mumbled with contentment in his voice pulling her slight form to him tightly. She held him and he drifted back to sleep. She lay awake for a long time. Thinking. She had to tell Endymion. She could never keep anything from him. He was extremely good at getting secrets out of her. She smiled slightly as she thought this. She would tell him in the morning. She couldn't tell anyone else. She sighed and closed her eyes falling back asleep. Endymion opened one eye and then both of them. He sat up leaning on one arm looking at his sleeping wife her silver hair strewn over the pillows and her luminous blue eyes shut in a peaceful sleep. He knew they were coming back just like she did. You aren't married to a person for hundreds of years and don't know what's bothering them. Besides the bond was still there. Even after thousands of years. They had been his best friends and comrades. The question was what was he going to do about it? He looked outside. He guessed it was close to morning for the sky was turning that perfect shade of purple that it always did before the sun rose over the horizon. Endymion slipped out of bed and walked out to the balcony. He nimbly jumped over the edge landing on both feet. He hadn't spent all those years being Tuxedo Kamen for nothing. He smiled as he thought that Serenity would have a fit if she had seen what he had just done. The balcony was on the third floor after all. He walked through the gardens heading for the main rose garden. He knew he was there. The main rose garden was right in the middle of the whole garden, which was quite large. It was an exact replica of the rose garden on the moon. Endymion stood in the middle breathing in the deep scent of roses and early morning. He heard a noise behind and turned around immediately. A man with blonde hair and light blue eyes stepped through the foliage. " Hello Jadeite." Jadeite looked up a look of shock crossing over his face. Who was this man? He sounded like Endymion moved like Endymion even resembled him strongly. But this man gave off a feeling of immense power and oldness like he was connected to the Earth itself. " Endymion," Jadeite said unsure. " It is me though I have changed quite a bit since you last saw me as your real self." Jadeite immediately dropped down to his knees. " My Prince I have come to ask your forgiveness," he said head down. Endymion stood silent his face set in stone. He wanted to forgive him but could he? This man had betrayed his trust, helped in the demise of the Moon Kingdom, killed Rei, and tried his best to kill Sailor Moon. Endymion stood silent. Jadeite looked up then eyes pleading for understanding. " If can't make you understand how will ever make her understand," Jadeite said jumping up. Endymion still said nothing. Behind them they heard light footsteps. She came into the garden an aura of magic about her as it always was now that she had come to her full power. The crescent moon on her forehead glowed dimly in the dying moonlight. Jadeite stood shocked at seeing the princess he had once known so long ago grown into such an obviously powerful woman. " Princess," he stuttered. Jadeite said kneeling back down. Serenity stepped forward and everything seemed to stop. The wind stopped blowing and the crickets stopped chirping. She walked toward Jadeite pausing right in front of him. He looked up then into her eyes and found there something that he hadn't seen in a long time. Love. Forgiveness. Sadness. Tears came to his eyes as she offered him her hand and pulled him of the ground. " I forgive you Jadeite and she will too in time."
