NOT!!!!!!! I wish but it doesn't. Enjoy this. MAS MERRY*CHRISTMAS*MERRY*CHRISTAMS*MERRY*CHRISTMAS Finding Christmas Love-Part One-pg Serena woke up with a yawn on the first of December. She knew tat she didn't have to go to school yet still she wasn't very cheery. Her large room seemed only to enclose her and imprison her. She looked at the pink walls filled with pictures and posters of bunnies and then down at the black fuzz ball still asleep beside her. She tried to smile as she dragged herself up. After showering she went down and ate breakfast alone since everyone else had long since eaten. She had put on a red skirt and white top to go with the holiday season. She decided to go to the park and sketch some of the scenes. It was so beautiful at that time of the year and she knew that she could get some good drawings. She walked slowly down the sidewalk, which was extremely new for her, past the bustling arcade giving a small wave to Andrew and to the colorful park. Some of the autumn leaves were still on the trees and the cold crisp wind was tugging on them along with the people who still walked in the park even though the weather was very nippy. Serena saw a couple of winter birds dancing and wasn't watching where she was going. Soon she had run into someone. "Watch it Meatball Head," said the ebony hair man before her. No one had fallen but she was still gonna get chewed out. "You didn't seem to be paying much attention either! I wasn't going fast at all Darien." She retorted. Soon they were in a usual argument. "Look Darien I'm not in the mood to put up with your insults and teasing and taunting and all of the rude things you have to say. I'm sick of having to be 'sweet Serena' and 'understanding Serena' who can't let things hurt her. I am only human Darien and I'm not gonna sit here and listen to you mock me when I have done nothing wrong and if you can't for once at least be cordial then just DON'T TALK TO ME!!" Serena ran off in tears. She had been putting up with put downs from family, friends, and even guys like Darien who didn't even know her. She stopped by the lake unaware that Darien had followed. Darien was more than surprised to see Serena running off crying after his comments. He didn't want to hurt her but teasing just came so easily. If he didn't do that he found himself having different thoughts about her, but he just pushed that out of his mind. This was Serena, Meatball Head. Him like her? Impossible. He didn't like to see Serena so upset though and went after her with the quietness he had learned from being Tuxedo Mask. He saw her slowing at the lake and just collapsing at the edge. She dropped her sketch pad by the crystal clear waters of the lake and buried her head into her hands and let out quiet sobs. These sobs weren't the ear racking sobs that she had when she fell or Raye was teasing her but tears of pure despair, tears that had been welling up in her for fourteen years. These sobs racked her body but there were barely audible. She just wanted for it all to end. Her depression was welling up in her and she could only think of ways to make the pain in. Serena gingerly touch the ice could water that was only a few degrees above freezing. A few minute in that water would numb anyone. All of them from the bruises caused from clumsiness to the bruises that ate away at her soul fro her 'friends.' The same friends that had constantly taunted her, told how useless she was. Ever since she had discovered that she was Sailor Moon and leader of the Sailor Scouts she had been taxed to the max. No, she wasn't academic, no, she wasn't graceful, and no maybe she wasn't the most outstanding leader for the scouts but she was still a person and still tried her hardest. Serena just wanted the pain to end. She wanted all of the hurts and sorrows to disappear. Serena felt the water again and without thinking, got up and jumped in. Darien was surprised to say the least when he saw the sorrowful girl get up and jump into the freezing lake. After a second of getting over the initial shock he ran to the edge looking for a sign of the blond who had just been there. All he saw were some air bubbles coming out of the water a few feet away. Darien jumped in and swam toward the red skirt he saw a few feet below him. When he finally found the thin girl, he grabbed her and pulled her to the surface and onto the shoreline where she had been previously sitting. After finding a pulse, Darien started to try to get her to breath through CPR. Soon she had spit out some water and was coughing. The freezing clothes clung to her and her wet hair matted against her face. Darien picked up the still woozy girl and took her to his apartment. Serena wok in the heat of a oversized, wool shirt, thick pants, and a stack of warm blankets. She saw her wet clothes hanging next to another set in the corner of a large room. The heater was on full blast and her feet were in a bucket of hot water. She looked around trying to figure out where she was when she heard someone behind her. Serena turned quickly to see Darien dressed in similar clothes with two cups of hot cocoa. Darien had taken down Serena's hair and blown it dry when they got to his apartment. He also had the embarrassing job of changing her into dry clothes. Serena slept through all of this and he wondered if he should take her to the doctor. After fixing her up he had gotten dry and warm but was still more worried about Serena. Being Tuxedo mask let him know that he was more immune to things than other people. He noticed a mop of blond hair raise up over the couch and Darien took a couple of hot cocoas for them to drink and warm her up. Darien sat next to an astonished Serena and handed her a one of the steamy cups. They sat in silence for a few minutes drinking until Darien had to ask the question that was plaguing his mind, "Serena, why did you jump into that freezing lake?" Serena froze in place for a moment before responding, "I wanted to be numb. I wanted the water to numb away all of the hurt and fears inside of me. I wanted all of the sorrow and depression to leave even if it meant I couldn't feel and the cold water would do that, It would numb my brain, my body, my heart, and my soul. No one could hurt me then. Now I get to ask the question. Why did you bring me out? I the numbness was starting to take over and I didn't have to feel the pain." Darien looked at the beautiful girl beside him but instead of seeing the usual cheeriness and brightness in her large blue eyes, he saw sadness, longing, and despair. "You would have died if I had left you. I was watching for a nearby bush after you ran off and I saw you jump in and start to drown." Serena was shocked. Drowned? No, she wouldn't of died. She was just staying below a little longer than Darien expected and what right did he have to spy on her? "Darien, I would have been fine. I can take care of myself and I don't need rude obnoxious jerks like you watching over me like a little kid to make sure of that. Don't ever spy on me again." With that Serena attempted to get up but fell right back down. Darien was getting mad at Serena for thinking that what she did was perfectly fine and then getting mad at him for watching over her. Darien caught the petite girl when she fell from her attempt to walk away. "Do you still think you would have been FINE? Serena, you were unconscious under water and weren't breathing when I brought you out. If I hadn't of been there you would be DEAD right now!!" Serena pulled away from Darien and used all of her strength and the support of the couch to stand up. "Do you think that that would have been so horrible? What's the use of living if you're a useless klutz that no one wants to be around? The 'Meatball head' that nobody loves? Why should I want to live? Would you want to live that way? All of your 'friends' constantly telling you what you're no ant what you're doing wrong. You're parents constantly nagging at you because you're not the super genius they want. You having people you don't even really know shoving insult after insult at you. That's my life Darien and it doesn't sound worth living to me. Does that sound like a life you would want to live? Darien stared at Serena who now had tears welling back up in her eyes. "No, Serena, that's not a life worth living but I'm living one similar to it everyday. Do you think that I have hoards of people dying to be with me? Andrew is all I have. I have no love in my life but I have learned to cope. Don't commit suicide because you don't think that enough people love you because I know that feeling and life is worth more. I have not had someone other than Andrew care about me since when I can't even remember. Since before I woke up with amnesia in a hospital parent-less. Someone out there will love you. you just have to find that someone." Darien explained his whole story calmly and with deep sincerity. Serena stared at the guy who had always tormented her, always teased her and fond a common bond. Lack of love. "Okay, Darien. I won't try anything else stupid but I can't go back to them, I can't go back to all of the people who have made my life miserable." Darien nodded at the desperate girl beside her. "You are welcome to stay here if you like. My couch is your couch," he said to Serena getting a small smile out of her. She snuck in to her room and packed her bags. She didn't make a sound since she was used to having to make noiseless entrances for scout business. She placed out the Christmas gifts she had bought for her family wrapped in metallic paper. The blond girl took one last look at her room of fourteen years and quickly left without leaving a note or reason. MERRY*CHRISTMAS*MERRY*CHRISTAMS*MERRY*CHRISTMAS I know it's a wired place to leave but I think it builds suspense. I will try to get the next part out next week. Good, Bad? Praise, Flames?
