New Procedures for admittance on Ft Richardson

I have been meeting with the Army Base Officials all week to correct a potential problem. Due to heightened security, there are new procedures that need to be followed for Sea Cadets to gain entrance to the Fort. We will put together a list of all Cadets and Parents. This list will be posted at the gate. Cadets and Parents must follow these items or you wont be admitted.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

  1. All Cadets must have their IDs with them at all times and show those to the Gate MP. Or anyone that asks;
  2. Your name and social security number must be on list in the Guard Shack;
  3. All Parents must have their Drivers License, Insurance & Registration available to show if asked. These must all be valid or no admittance;
  4. According to Naval Sea Cadet & post regulations, parents & siblings must be card carrying members to be able to stay on the base. Only exception would be for new parents checking out the program;
  5. Do not use the PX/BX for purchases unless you have clearance from the CO/XO.  or proper DOD ID. The base does not want us roaming the facility;
  6. Do not try to get on base through the Elmendorf AFB gate unless you have a DOD ID;
  7. If you do not have the proper documentation, call the reserve center or someone on a cell phone to escort you in from the gate. This does not mean a forgotten ID! - NO CADET ID - NO ENTRANCE.

We have had to do a lot of meetings to still be able to use the base, so these procedures must be followed without question.

Your cooperation will ensure the success of the program.
