USS INGERSOLL VETS (DD-652 & DD-990)
SHIPS REUNION AND DEDICATION OF THE USS INGERSOLL MUSEUM
AUGUST 9-12, 2001 – MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA
Your first whiff of fresh sea air and your first glimpse of coastal beauty will signal your arrival at Asilomar and the Monterey Peninsula.
The dramatic coastline, beaches, the surf, golf courses and the 17 mile drive, beginning at Pebble Beach, to the charming village of Carmel is breathe taking. The bells in the tower of Carmel Basilica Mission have called the faithful since 1797. We will be there.
The Naval Postgraduate School, one of the Navy's most beautiful bases, is located on the grounds of the former world-class resort Hotel Del Monte in Monterey. We will have lunch on Friday August 10th in the Ballroom, the once elegant hotel dining room. The Memorial Services will be held in the Hotel's Christ the King Chapel. Our Friday's Bus Tour will drive past the American Tin Cannery and Fisherman's Wharf.
