Death (1724 or 1725): His estate was administered 18 Feb 1725.
General: Leonard purchased 241 acres of land in Bensalem Township in 1697 and 
later bought 74 more acres. He was an elder in the Bensalem Church and was 
commissioned Justice of the Peace 3 Dec. 1715. He died ca 1724/25, as his estate 
was administered 18 Fe. 1725. Styntjie died prior to 6 Oct. 1721, as on that 
date Leonard m. (2) in the first Presb. Church of Philadelphia, Christina

General: Jacob Vandegrift, the eldest son of Leendert and Styntje (Ellswart) 
Vandegrift was baptized in the Dutch church at New Amsterdam September 20, 1679, 
the witnesses being the grandparents, Jacob Leendertsen and Rebecca.

He married Sarah ----------? and at some time removed to Appoquinimink Hundred, 
New Castle County, Delaware. His will was probated in New Castle, January 16, 
1754. His sons Jacob and Leonard were named executors.

CHILD NOTES: Rebecca (Sarah) Vandegrift
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
General: The family migrated to New Castle County, Delaware, where Rebecca died. 
When Albertus Wan Sandt's will was probated in that county, on January 11, 1753, 
he names his wife as Sarah. Since it is not known when Rebecca died, it is not 
possible to say whether all the children named in Albert's will were by Rebecca.

Baptism (4 Jul 1686): Witnesses to the baptism were Clement Elsenwaert and 
Brechtle Elsenwaert.

General: Abraham was the only son of Leendert who remained in Bucks County and 
he was granted the letters of administration for his father's estate and in 
documents was known as "Abraham VANDEGRIFT, by the River."

Administration Papers were granted on his estate in 1748 (File #641, Bucks 
County) Mary's will was probated in 1750 (File #676, Bucks County)
