S.W.A.T Officer Fights a Losing Battle
CONCORD, NC – Brian Voncannon's career as a Deputy Sheriff/SWAT officer recently came to a screeching halt after he was diagnosed with what many call a mysterious illness. Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) continually baffles the medical community. This prompted Brian to write a new book that is dedicated to others that suffer from this condition, as well as the medical professionals that are treating them. The author hopes to shed some light on a very complex and disabling disease by sharing his experiences. The book is titled Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Living with the Unknown ISBN 0-595-24182-4 Writer's Club Press, an imprint of iUniverse, Inc The publisher can be reached at press@iuniverse.com.
The author has been involved in law enforcement since 1989. He is also
an honorably discharged veteran of the Armed Forces. His book, Living Behind
the Shield, gained him an appearance on a North Carolina television show
as well a news article in a national police magazine. Having great pride
in his heritage, he has written other books which surround his mixed Cherokee/Saponi
Native American ancestry. He and his mother are enrolled members
of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama, one of seven recognized tribes
in that state. The author has also written three feature length screenplays,
and six short screenplays.
