Vegetarian & Vegan Vegetarian Burger Mix

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 c. dry chickpeas

1/2 c. dry soybeans

1/2 c. dry (red) lentils

1/2 c. dry yellow split peas

1/2 c. dry brown rice

1/2 c. dry rolled oats

1/4 c. dry whole wheat bread crumbs
1/4 c. dry cornmeal

1+1/2 T. baking soda

seasonings of your choice



Recipe Directions

Put the ingredients 1- 2 at a time in a blender, turn it on, run for earplugs (noisy !)

When everything is in powder form store in airtight container (dry)

To make:

combine 1 c. of mix and 2/3 c. HOT liquid (boiling - tap hot is not hot enough!)

Let sit for 15 minutes

Form into three patties

pan fry (nonstick pan )or in the oven at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes
serve with favourite fixings

I add half a chopped onion in when I mix the stuff

spices/ herbs/ barbeque sauce/ nasi goreng mix/ peppers/ curry/ garlic white wine/ just about any
spice / liquid combination will work
