New Zealand For my birthday I got a digital camera, a Canon G2, so I rushed straight out and tested it on the flowers in my garden |

Thursday 17th Anne-Marie and Francesca arrived on the 17th. Henry stayed in Nelson with Martin, this was going to be a girls only weekend. |
 First stop was to visit mum in hospital. She was greatly cheered up by Francesca. |

Friday 18th
6am at the airport. Francesca is ready for takeoff. |
Shopping for some great fruit in Sydney. |
Lovely and warm, and Francesca is enjoying getting rid of her clothes. |

 We are off on the ferry into Circular Quay and the shops. |

It's getting a little too much for a young lady, so a sleep is a great idea while Mum has lunch. |

We decided on an evening at home, so the girls get into their cocktail maker mood. Nobody stayed up late. |

 Great dinner, and the staff even knew how to take a good photograph. |

Sunday 20th

We wandered around the shops in Balmain, then tried to find a nice beach, no luck there, so we drove to the eastern suburb of Vaucluse.Very beautiful and very expensive.
