ICF Board Update

Finally, the board of the Irish Cyling Federation has been completed. After several weeks, it has been decided that the chairman roles will be kept by the President, Pat Mc'Quaid. Also, Tommy Campbell has decided to return to cycling, after his very short self-induced boxer-like retirement, taking up the role of Head of the Leisure Cycling Committee. This means that Campbell has served the FIC, and now ICF, in every position except Treasurer. The position of PRO, left vacant by Paddy Griffin has been filled by Ciaran Mc'Kenna. Also, the position of Head Of the Development Committee, previously held - albeit, briefly - by Dermot Dignam, is now Paddy O'Callaghan, father of Sean. This is the first time in the history of Irish Cycling that father and son have held positions on the board. The actual board is now as follows :

F.I.C. Board
President Pat Mc'Quaid
Secretary Jack Watson
Treasurer Peter Thornton
P.R.O. Ciaran Mc'Kenna
Head of Committees
Development Paddy O'Callaghan
Sporting Pat Clarke
Coaching Paddy Doran
Mountain Biking Peter Purfield
Underage Séan O'Callaghan
Leisure Tommy Campbell
