    Forces the assembler to treat character literally.
 
       Notes:     This operator can only be used in macro definitions
                  (including repeat blocks) or with conditional-assembly
                  directives.
 
                  !character, which is equivalent to <character>, allows
                  you to incorporate special characters, such as ';' and
                  '&' into symbols.
