Gage Vom Haus Vianden - Born Oct 1 2013, Sire Trace van Meerhout RN BN BH A-Stamp Normal Hips/Elbows ; Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN OFA Hips/Elbows

  • 2/28/2014 Hi Charlotte, Thought you might like some updated photos of Gage. He is close to 55 pounds now, and just passed his first puppy class, receiving the AKC Puppy Good Citizenship Award, rare for a German Sheppard to receive (I was told). His temperament is really sweet, and he often is getting compliments on his looks and his personality. I have given your name to numerous folk who have asked where we got him, so your good breeding reputation is getting around! Bev Twillmann,

Garin Rueger Vom Haus Vianden - Born Oct 1 2013, Sire Trace van Meerhout RN BN BH A-Stamp Normal Hips/Elbows ; Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN OFA Hips/Elbows

  • 1/21/2014 Hi Charlotte, Rue has settled in to our family; he has extremely high food drive, is doing well in obedience and tracking and has been potty trained since the first week we had him. He is a biter, especially when he is excited. He is a happy pup. Thanks, again, for sharing this pup with us. Kim, Sharon and Garin Rueger

Cooper Vom Haus Vianden - Born March 8 2013, SireV (BSP) OutLaw vom Leipheimer Moor SCH3 A-Stamp Normal Hips/Elbows ; Dam:INT CH Nadia Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN SCHA. IPO1

  • 1/10/2014 Charlotte, Cooper is maturing nicely. Big boned, nice structure. There are qualities that are exceptional. His obedience is phenomenal. Probably one of my best dogs for this portion. His tracking has not been structured, but he tracks 250 paces with corners and shows good intensity. His food drive is exceptional. His drive to engage the helper with a sack or pillow is very good, he carries the jute well. Yours in the Sport Bill Szentmiklosi

C Liesel Vom Haus Vianden - Born March 8 2013, SireV (BSP) OutLaw vom Leipheimer Moor SCH3 A-Stamp Normal Hips/Elbows ; Dam:INT CH Nadia Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN SCHA. IPO1

  • 8/10/2013 Hi Charlotte, We have been meaning to fill you in but just have not done so. Please accept our apologies. We have named her Liesel, so she will be C Liesel Vom Haus Vianden. Liesel is curled up under my chair, at work with me as I write. Do you remember telling us how as a puppy she liked to be under your feet? Well, she has continued that behavior and I do not believe we will ever be able to change it, not that we’d want to. Liesel continues to show us that she is the perfect dog for us at this time in our lives. She is developing well without any health issues. Yes, she is very beautiful, and her condition is also very good as she gets good food and lots of exercise. We are always being complimented on her. She is staring to get more color on her cheeks and forehead, but I think she will always have a mostly black face. So far we have held off any formal training, but we have been working with her ourselves using some of the methods we learned from Shade and Packworks. Her nerves are absolutely rock solid, she has great focus and of course is very smart, probably our most intelligent dog yet. Fortunately cars are not an issue with her as they were with our previous GSD. She is great with the grandkids, although over exuberant at times. She is also a sensitive dog which we appreciate. Must be the feminine in her. Over all we could not be happier with her. Greg Otto

Czar Vom Haus Vianden - Born March 8 2013, SireV (BSP) OutLaw vom Leipheimer Moor SCH3 A-Stamp Normal Hips/Elbows ; Dam:INT CH Nadia Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN SCHA. IPO1

  • 6/8/13 Here you go Miss Charlotte.... Hmmm, what can I say about this pup.....Czar is a very balanced pup. Environmentally he investigates everything and shies away from nothing. His focus is intense and willingness to please is very good. His toy drive is very high and loves to play tug. I very high hopes for this little guy! One thing that is very important for me a sport dog owner is the dogs ability to settle in the home, but yet do the work with great intensity.....and with this one I think I have it. Charlotte, I wanted to thank you so much for all of your years of hard work on your breeding program. Your integrity and candid honesty is a breath of fresh air in the dog world. I have purchased over 10 pups in the last 6 years and I have not found someone more concerned about her dogs than you. You have been able to produce and preserve the all versatile German Shepherd and this shows by the wide variety of titles you have place on your Shepherds. Their sense of loyalty and eagerness to work are nothing short of painstaking hard work and dedication to your program. THANK YOU!!!!! Regards, Curt R.

  • 11/4/12 Hi Charlotte She's doing great. I started tracking her probably 3 weeks after she got her. We started on scent pads for the first couple weeks, nothing serious. Once she got the hang of that I moved her to straight tracks, really short at first, then worked our way too some longer one. After running the longer straight tracks for a few weeks prob ably 2-3 times a week I did a couple serpantine tracks and she did amazing. First serpantine track she didn't leave the track once, and the second one she got off about a foot, stopped and right back on the track. She's really blowing my mind, I didn't think it was possible for a puppy like that to track the way she does. I wish you could see it, you'd be so proud. we get head turns and compliments all the time. She really is beuatiful. Obedience is going great as well, sit, platz, on her mat, started fuss 2 days ago. We're doing great. Brent Robert

  • Hi Charlotte, I just wanted to give you an update on our little guy :) His official name in our household is Saul. He has been such a perfect addition to our family. It is so amazing how smart he is. He is already sleeping in his crate fairly well and will occasionally just walk in there and take a nap on his own. We have all been working with him on different little training regiments each day and he has already learned what "Come, Sit, Down, Off, and Leave it" mean. I am going to try to get a little video to upload to facebook later because it just seriously amazes me how much his little 8.5 week old mind has already learned :) Just wanted to thank you again!

Update 11/4/12 We have now had the pleasure of enjoying the company of "Saul" in our household for the last 9 weeks. In such a short amount of time, he has learned all basic commands with informal training (sit, stay, down, shake, leave it, off, come, fetch), is fully potty trained, and kennel trained as well. Even our Veterinarian has said that Saul is the best tempered German Shepherd puppy he has ever seen. He has managed to fill a void that we didn't think was possible after the sudden loss of our 8 year old black lab in January this year. We are so incredibly thankful for such a wonderful breeding. Saul truly has become a family member in this household and we couldn't be happier. ... Rachael Petersen

Hi Charlotte; My goal for Pickle this year is to get his "Tracking Dog" AKC title. I have been going out with him twice a week and he is really doing well. If he keeps doing as well as he has been I am sure we will be able to certify this Spring. Then we will have to hope that we can get drawn to be in a trial. I am hoping for Wenatchee in April. Pickle is an awesome Watch Dog and a wonderful Family Dog. Jeanie Swanson

Wulfie Vom Haus Vianden - Born April 5 2011, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Hi Charlotte We already love him. He has a wonderful personality and really smart. He sits, shakes (loves to have his joints massaged), lies down and Chucks starting the hand signals now. It has been a test for me, I'm not used to having a shadow at my every move...my daughter has come home more because of the dog..(it was her dog that passed away) she loves Wulfie. Thank you again for such a wonderful boy! I'll send pictures soon. Joy

Whiskey Vom Haus Vianden - Born April 5 2011, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Hi Charlotte We just wanted to let you know that Wiskey is doing great. He follows us everywhere which is making it very easy to train him for recall. He is full of energy, curiousity, and kisses. He loves to chase anything that moves..his toys, my broom when I'm trying to sweep, our legs ( he has really sharp teeth...hahaha) etc... I am starting to train him for recall and sit and he is beginning to bring his toys back to us when we throw them for him. He is a very smart little boy and is learning quickly. House training is going very well, he has gone and sat at the door a few times when he has to go out, we try and take him out regularly before he has to ask to go out. He only whined at night for the first night, ever since then he sleeps throughout the night in his crate without a fuss. Zanna and Wisky are buddies now, it only took a couple of days for Zanna to except him fully and put up with him climbing all over her and nipping at her legs,(thats how he gets her to start playing.) She had to put him in his place a couple of times but now is very very good with him. They play very well together and will chase each other around the yard and playfully bite at each other. He follows Zanna around just as much as he does us. He is very adorable which is a good thing because he can be a little stubborn and a little bit of a handful by times so his cuteness makes it hard to give him heck too much. I'm sending you a few pictures , a couple of Zanna tracking, wisky swimming and various others of them both. Take Care , we'll keep in touch...and thanks for saving us this handsome little boy, we absolutely adore him. Shari and Dave Magis

We have been taking a break for classes but are going to get him back in one soon, I am going to take some more obedience at the service dog academy. I have been having increasing trouble with my legs and want kevin to be able to help me on hikes and bad days, he is definitely strong enough! We are really wanting to get going with agility too! He is a true athlete, but want to make sure his big bones are done growing first. He weighs in at a tall lean 90lbs!, are his siblings also this big? He is a real show off when it comes to frisbee, we play at least twice a day. Kevin is also the fastest swimming dog i have ever seen! He loves the water and riding in the canoe. We took Kevin to A large festival with thousands of peple at the seattle center over the holiday weekend and we were very impressed with his good behavior in the crowds... here is a picture of us . • Hello Charlotte, Tazer is doing great!!!! I can't tell you how much we love him because there are no words that would express it enough. Yes, he is well loved. Update 11/2/11 Hello, Wow has time flew by.. Tazer is doing great! Full of energy and is doing well on his regular training. I have run into a road block with finding someone to help me train him to do protection work. I think allot of ppl around here say that they are qualified and they are truly not. But thats ok he is still young. I am going to try to send you a disk with all the pictures of him as he grows, but I want to get some fall and winter pics on the disc too. I cant wait for him to see snow... Our new thing this week is to be able to put his food down and him Not be barking and Jumping all over the place. Now he is to down.. and wait for the ok to eat, He is doing very well. Poor little guy no patients, lol. He loves to ride in the car. He does very well all the kids at the school just love him they say he is one of the prettiest dogs they have ever seen.. I AGREE.... Tazer plays football with Brian and Cade every night. It is making my boys quicker on their feet for as Tazer has won the ball a couple times and needless to say if he gets the ball we have to go buy a new one. And yes we have been threw a few footballs,,,,:) Tazer has his own toy box with his toys and I am happy to report he has yet to chew up anything that is not his... How many people can say that about their pup. We cant thank you enough for our boy. He is Amazing. Hope to talk to you soon Kimberly Giffin

Wilhelmina Vom Haus Vianden - Born April 5 2011, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Hi Charlotte, Mina" is a fantastic puppy! Thanks so much for choosing "Moon" over "Mina". Watching her grow in your pictures, I knew "pinky" was the one for me. She is adjusting to the South Texas Summer. Which makes house breaking so much easier as she can't wait to get back into the air conditioned cool tiled house. She has really taken to the concept of the "Siesta" -- sleeping through the hottest part of the day and resuming activities during the cooler evening/night hours. Too bad my work schedule doesn't work on the 'Siesta'. Ivan The Terrible loves his new friend. My daughter took pictures of them together but has not given me copies of them. I will forward them ASAP. Mina definitely lets her displeasure be know when she feels she is not being treated as she feels she should be. She has definitely taken over the house already. It only took about 24 hours before Mina ruled! We all love her. Well ... the cats don't. Victoria Schraml

Zella Vom Haus Vianden CGC SAR. - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Dear Charlotte, We've been reading updates on Zella's stellar siblings -- now it's time to brag about our beautiful girl. She was the star of her canine good citizen class. Her groomer attended the class and was amazed at how well Zella performed and got along with the other dogs. This groomer, our vet, our friend's son who is a vet, and other professional trainers and breeders who have met Zella are very impressed with her confirmation, intelligence and personality. Our cousins in law enforcement, and other PD friends familiar with K9, have told us that we have "one helluva awesome dog!" Zella has been in SAR training for several months, having immediately impressed the Unit Leader with her drive and intelligence. Zella has always loved to play hide and seek -- tracking seems to be a natural segue and she is very serious about it. When not being a 'dog with a job' Zella is a gentle and warm companion to our elderly Shih Tzu. We absolutely adore her and are so grateful to you for the care you took in producing and caring for her. She has the sweetest temperament that matches her sweet face. But let something unfamiliar come into her yard and she is alert and ready to protect her family. Speaking of which, attached is a photo of Zella with our Army Major son. They were best buddies this past summer and he wanted to pack her up with his gear, but Dad said NOT A CHANCE! Thank you, Charlotte, for your dedication to this magnificent breed. We both grew up with GSD, and we think your Zella is perfection! Warm regards, Michelle and Glenn Rohrer

Update 3/25/11 Charlotte, Here are two photos taken in action last week by our PLSAR Team Leader. #1 I'm traipsing after her.See how her nose is DOWN! Good girl! #2 She has found her search person (Molly) after a LONG trail, and is receiving her new Prodogz reward tug and showing off her new harness. can't wait for this weather to get nicer so we can really hit the woods.hope you and expectant parents are doing well, Michelle -- and a hug from Moongirl

Tasha Vom Haus Vianden TD,CD,RA,ThD - Born Oct 19 2003, Sire:V Bodo vom Leamarco SCH3 & Dam:SG Yarissa Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,Sch2.

    • Update 9/16/2010 Debbi and Tasha were invited to participate in a Washington State University summer program, a part of which was How to Meet and Greet Dogs, and the direction of their lives changed. At the summer camp program, it became immediately apparent that Tasha was a people dog. She just loved the kids. She loved it when they patted her, or laid partly on top of her. She began to sing with obvious joy as they drove up to the facility. Tasha was in her element. When Eileen, a long time, experienced pet therapy person and saw Tasha with the kids, she suggested to Debbi that Tasha would be a great pet therapy dog and the adventure began. This past July, Tasha finished her training and became a certified therapy pet in Love on a Leash. Since then, Debbi and Tasha have become favorite participants in a library reading program as well as at assisted living and nursing homes. At the library, kids who need to improve their reading skills, read to one of several therapy dogs that are present. Some of the youngsters read to Tasha in Spanish, and Debbi says that makes Tasha a bi-lingual shepherd. And, the youngsters never forget to share any pictures in the story with the dogs. In fact, when a reader says, Would you like to see the pictures, the head of every therapy dog in the room swivels and hones in on the picture being shown. This amazes the human handlers since picture is a word not usually part of a dog’s vocabulary. As much as Tasha loves children, she may love the older folks she visits even more, because she displays a certain empathy for the nursing home residents. Once, visiting a very frail elderly woman whose hand was resting on the side of the bed but who could not reach for the dog, Tasha went quietly over and laid her head on the woman’s hand allowing her to rub Tasha’s nose. I had to turn away, said Debbi, because my eyes filled with tears. Debbi says that with all she and Tasha have earned and accomplished nothing is as rewarding as their therapy work. I keep pinching myself; afraid I’ll wake and find this is all a dream. Being able to visit with Tasha and seeing the joy she brings is more than I ever thought possible. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Xana Vom Haus Vianden CGC TD RA. - Born May 22 2009, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam: V Rana de Gauchln Verloingt,IPO1.

  • Hi Charlotte, There is no news to brag about, yet. But lots is going on . Her tracking is going well. It's a job she seems to like and she is very focused. Hopefully the weather (no snow) will continue. She really does know all the basic obedience. It's just taking more exposure to distraction to get her to know it in all places at all times. I love her and she is beautiful. If we can get through this last puppy stage she's going to be a great dog for us. Carol

Update 3/30/11 Finally a little bit to brag about! Xana certified to track for AKC this morning. She had her certification track in the strong wind, in the same area on the S side of Thorpe road where you put a track, 460 yards, 4 corners and 5 legs. There were 3 people following and the 4th leg went straight back toward the road where people by their car were wrestling with rope. Xana was awesome! She was just focused on finding her glove and basically drug me to it. I was pretty nervous as we have only done one other blind track and that one had food on it. Now I have to figure out what TD test to enter. Ya hoo!!!!!!!! Carol

Queena Vom Haus Vianden - Born September 26 2008, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Mera Vom Haus Vianden BH,Sch1.

  • Charlotte, Queena is doing well. She's playing well with Casey our other dog and she's starting to bond to our son and he's learning to use his voice and the proper commands. She is enjoying the "sounds" of the city. She enjoy her daily "rides" and I'm working on the come/stay commands before we venture into an offleash area. Queena is so funny every day @ 5AM she wants out of her kennel and after a pee we go snooze in the living room til the alarm goes off @ 6AM. But its been good and she's so responsive to positive reinforcement. She knows exactly where she lives and Ron always lets her lead him home from a long walk. During the day I always have her close to me. She and Casey share their toys but they are not at the point where they sleep together yet. I'll take some more current pictures of Queena. Take care and don't worry we adore her. For the first week Ron kept calling her Brenna. TTYL Christine:

  • Charlotte, Charlotte, Zeke is doing great. He has outstanding temperment, and is extremely confident. He gets along well in any situation, without stressing, and definitely keeps watch on our house and my family. I can't imagine a better dog for our family. He loves my kids and watches over them always. Needless to say, I would not want to be the guy that tried to break into our home. I don't have any new pics, but I will take a few and send them soon. I may know one person who is looking for a shephard, so I will let him know about your litters. Take care, Clay

Update 12/2/11 Charlotte, Sorry I havent gotten you any pics lately. Zeke is doing great. He loves the kids and is a wonderful addition to the family. As I've told you before, he loves his kids and is very protective of them and our home. Hope these pics work for you. I will try to take some pictures of him in the snow soon, and I'll send them too. Zeke loves to play, and really hams it up on a regular basis. We nicknamed him horse, because when he plays, he really lumbers around and gets funny. I think he likes to show off. He weighs in around 90-95 pounds and is a big, strong, healthy dog. He loves going for walks (one of the pics shows my son in his Deputy Uniform, and Zeke is his K-9 Unit patroling the neighborhood) and camping. We take him in the mountains with us hiking a lot, and he loves that too. Happy Holidays and hope everything is going well. Thanks again for such a wonderful dog. Clay

  • Hi There: On December 17, 2008, friends presented us with the most wonderful little ball of fur. A twelve week old, all black German Sheppard. The day after he arrived, we had a terrible snow storm and the snow lasted for about two weeks. He truly had a great time running and playing in the snow. It had been over fifteen years since we had a puppy in the household. He is a total joy and fits in well with the family (both two and four legged). He is working on his obedience and tracking and doing quite well in both. He is currently taking classes at SDTC (Spokane Dog Training Club) and CBDTC (Columbia Basin Dog Training Club).

Update 8/21/10 Thank you! Like I said before they are just so much fun to work. They have big hearts! These two dogs have open so many different doors for me. I sometimes have to pinch myself. Thank you for letting me have them to do such cool and wonderful things with them!!!!!

Update 11/18 11 This will totally surprise some. Took Quigley over to Guardian angel to do his "Love on a Leash" Control Evaluation. He passed!!!!!! Now we just need to do ten hours of visiting. Then he will be a theraphy dog! I'm very proud of both of my dogs. They are excellent example of what GSD are supposed tp be!!!!!!!!!!! Debbi

  • Hi Charlotte, Here a quick update….Tessa is doing absolutely great! She is a joy to have as part of our family! Growing like a weed, she is well behaved and listens well. We are amazed at how quickly she is learning. We take her hiking any chance we get, or take her to the lake where she enjoys meeting people and other dogs. We can’t get her much excited about chasing deer away from our garden (yet), but perhaps that is a good thing. Even our cat enjoys being around her as they are inseparable for most the day. When they are done running around and Tessa is ready to come inside to take a nap in her crate, she will quietly sit in front of the garden door and waits until we let her in. We love working with her! Our sincere thanks for providing us with this loving bundle of energy! Heidi en Niek Meijerink

Zoe Vom Haus Vianden - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Charlotte, Zoe is such an awesome addition to our family. She is so energetic she keeps us very busy. She has been enjoying the deep snow in our yard. She gallops across it as if it's not even there. We just finished our puppy training classes and continue with training at home. She is very intelligent and driven to please us. Her loyalty is obvious by the way she follows my every step and looks after my four year old son. It is a true love story between the two of them. She has made friends with our neighbors chocolate lab and is very friendly with other dogs. Our cat continues to be an issue. I think that Zoe just wants to play with her, but the reaction from the cat gets Zoe going, so we have to keep a close watch on them. I am looking forward to Zoe becoming a year old so I can take her out on runs with me. Zoe is such a beautiful girl, her coat is shiny and soft, her paws are huge, and her eyes are bright! Our family is so happy that we decided to bring Zoe home. We can't imagine what life was like without her. Kimberly, Dan, Matthew, Cleo, and Gabriel Guthrie

Zenka Vom Haus Vianden - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Charlotte, Well you will be happy to hear Zenka is doing so well, she is so much fun her and I are developing a very strong bond. When I am not home she looks all over for me searching each room and she is o happy to see me when I come home. She has such a fun personality, a little dramatic at times but thats what makes her so cute. We have started search and rescue training with her and we went out last week for the first time to do some exercises and she did so amazing. I would run and hide and she would immediately come find me with little or no help. She loved it she would get so excited. She got to run and play with the other dogs and we took her out in the mountains for the first time and she stays right by my side, she is very smart. Thanks, Nicole Green Charlotte, Update 6/16/08 I hope all is going well with you. I just wanted to send you some updated photos of Zenka. She is doing very well with tracking and search and rescue. She pulled a muscle about a month ago so we had to take some time off for a while for her to heal. She is all better now so we will be taking her out this weekend to do some tracking, I know she is sick of sitting around. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Nicole Green

  • Charlotte, Thank you, thank you, thank you for my wonderful friend. Nala is doing well. Last week she weighed in at 27 lbs and she can't seem to ever get enough to eat. I am continually amazed by her capacity for learning. She has a strong will and sense of humor to go with her intelligence, so there is never a dull moment. When asked Nala will wait at an open door or at the end of a staircase until instructed to go through/up, and sits very patiently when her food is being prepared. She is finally accepting the leash without too much fuss and loves to run with me. We go for a half-mile or less and she perks up at the word "run." It makes her a much more well-behaved puppy. How much running is ok right now? The girls are getting better and better about being with Nala. Facing their fears and learning to be in charge of a dog have been a valuable lessons for them. They adore her. Simba, our cat, is still very much annoyed by the black bundle of energy. Nala thinks it is great fun to bark at him, but definitely knows he is boss. She also loves to bark at the broom, shovel, and vacuum. I'm still trying to get her to stop that, but usually have to remove her from the situation. I do love her bark though - it's deep and intimidating. Nala is a great traveler. She comes with us to school when it is warm enough, and has been to the Methow Valley (a 4.5 car hour ride) twice. She seems to enjoy the adventure and exploring a new location.

Update 9/7/10 Nala is about 65 lbs and lean. She has a beautiful running gate and moves with absolute grace. Forget fetch, but get "it" from me if you can is her game. At least we've transferred "it" to her toys instead of the things she is not supposed to have. Nala is sweet and a lovely family member. Today we had a two-hour walk. It was absolute heaven on the Indian summer day. She healed consistently and was the perfect companion. I love her. Sincerely, Jennifer SR

Zanna Vom Haus Vianden - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Hi Charlotte, You did such and amazing job with breeding this litter Charlotte, Zanna is such a wonderful dog and a big part of our family. She is now about 66lbs and stands about 24-25" tall. She has been so easy to train...right from housebreaking her to the basic commands of sit, stay, come, lay down, speak, whisper, shake a paw etc... We have as well trained her with hand signals for some of the commands. She is very intelligent and energetic and has a great personality. She is protective of us and her home and will alert us whenever she hears someone in our yard, but she is not aggressive with people she meets or other dogs. She has such high potential because of her intelligence and ease of training that I want to get into more formal training with her, to challenge her. I bet she would be great at Tracking or Shutzhund or Agility. Is there any books or programs that you would recommend for advanced training? Zanna loves going for walks and absolutely loves going in the bush hiking and fishing with us, she doesn't even try to eat the fish, haha. She also loves to retrieve and will bring it back and drop the item every time. Her latest thing is catching what is thrown, especially her frisbee. She is an exceptional dog Charlotte and we are very happy that we have her as part of our lives and family. Thank You, keep in touch. Shari and Dave Magis

Update 6/3/11 Hi Charlotte, Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how Zanna is doing. She is a beautiful girl and is such a part of our family, she is like our child. She communicates with us very well, she will bark at the sink when she wants fresh water or at the door to the room where we keep her food when she is hungry, or whine and yip at me when it is time to go out and play frisbee or go for a walk. She loves to follow us around and help us in the yard when we are working outside and never leaves the yard even though it is not fenced in. She is very well behaved and has a wonderful personality, it is like she is part human, she understands so much of what we say, probably more than we think she does.HaHa She absolutly loves to play frisbee, she is focused completly on it when we are playing, nothing else matters to her exept where her frisbee is and catching it. I have done a bit of tracking with her this spring and hope to do more this summer. The few times I have taken her out she has shown amazing instinct for tracking even with lots of kids and distractions around she still keeps focused on the trail I have left. She is great with strangers but very protective of her territory. She'll really watch and focus on people walking by but will not bark or make a move towards them unless they try and enter our yard. She is a beautiful, intelligent girl. I am so glad we have her and look forward to getting another puppy from you soon. I'll attach a couple of pictures for you and will send some of her tracking this summer when I do some more with her. Take Care Shari & Dave Magis SR

Zehla Vom Haus Vianden - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Hello Charlotte! Zehla is now 4 months old. She is loving every minute of life right now. We just got her her rabies shots and vaccines, so she has been able to socialize with other animals and go on long walks around the neighborhood. Zehla is incredibly smart. She retrieves, she sits and stays REALLY well. If you ask her to shake, she will. She seems real intuned with her surroundings. Of course she is potty trained and crate trained by now. The crate is her safe haven. New to Zehla's life is a raw food diet consisting of raw meat, bones, vegetables, fruits, sardines, and supplemental vitamins. Her coat, energy and health are working at 100% her potential. She is a blessing to our family once again. Celebrating her first christmas was fun. She even got a couple presents. Like a warm fuzzy blanket and a chew toy. You have no idea how excited we are to see her grow. We Love Her. Thank you.... The Kings

Zeus Vom Haus Vianden Narcotics Detection K9. - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Hey, thought I should update ya!! Zeus and I are in the process of training for our certification as a Narcotics Detection K9 team for Kootenai County Probation. We will certify in March. I will send you some pic’s if you want. He is great!!! Thanx. Amy Knisley

Ziggy Vom Haus Vianden - Born August 28 2007, Sire:SG Zico van't Linnershof SCH3 FH & Dam:INT CH Viona Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,RN.

  • Good Day, Ziggy is a wonderful boy. My boy's both adore him. Brendan my oldest had my husband bring him to his grad two class for show and tell. What a wonderful temperment. He had hands all over him and just lapped up the attention without getting hyper! My youngest often "steals" him and we'll find the two of them locked in his room.

Update9/7/08 His temperment is really outstanding, it's hard to remember at times he's still a puppy. My 8 year old son walks him without problem (and rather proudly). His obdience is great, especially as I have not worked with him all that much as of yet . As I've mentioned to you before he is the partner in crime to my 4 year old. If he disappears from the livingroom he is sure to be found sitting beside Liam on his bed. Take Care, Nikki

Tasha Vom Haus Vianden TD,CD,RA - Born Oct 19 2003, Sire:V Bodo vom Leamarco SCH3 & Dam:SG Yarissa Vom Haus Vianden BH,CD,Sch2.

  • On October 01, 2006, Tasha arrived as a re-home. Her behavior was somewhat of a wild child. But with patience and training in obedience and tracking, she settled down. In fifteen months she has earned four titles. Her first title was a TD (Tracking Dog) in April 28, 2008. Then came her RN (Rally Novice) in October 04, 2008, RA (Rally Advanced) on May 23, 2009, and CD (Companion Dog) on July 19, 2009. She is now working on her CDX (Companion Dog Excellence) as well as her VST (Variable Service Tracking) and TDX (Tracking Dog Excellence) titles. She loves to travel and easily picks up on new tasks. She’s a hard worker and strives to please on any tasks presented to her. I have no doubts that she will not complete the three titles we are working on. Because of her earning the TD title, I was able to become a AKC Tracking Judge, a dream that I have had since I started training dogs in 1989.

Update 8/21/10 Thank you! Like I said before they are just so much fun to work. They have big hearts! These two dogs have open so many different doors for me. I sometimes have to pinch myself. Thank you for letting me have them to do such cool and wonderful things with them!!!!!

Sara Vom Haus Vianden - Born Jul 24 2001, Sire: SG Olly Vom Blauen Stein SCH1 CD BH AD& Dam:V Yasja Von Haus Kalbach VZH VH3 SCH3.

  • Cedar (born Sara Vom Haus Vianden) July 24, 2001 – March 6, 2011

Cedar (Sara) joined our household when she was 4 months old. She was a rambunctious puppy that kept our wolf hybrid (Timber) on his toes. Cedar was Bob’s first female dog and the relationship they formed was incredible – they were inseparable. She went fishing, camping and horseback riding with us and was a true champion of the outdoors. We lost her to cancer in March 2011 and, to this day, there is a spot in our hearts that will always belong to her. Bob & Kathie Neu

Dulce Vom Haus Vianden - Born Dec 11 1999, Sire:SG Olly vom Blauen Stein SCH1,CD,AD & Dam:SG Cora Vom Haus Vianden BH SCH1

  • Dear Charlotte, Thank you so much for Dulce. She enhanced every aspect of our lives, whether working out in the woods, playing, going on walks, or enjoying vacations. Dulce "went to work" every day with Dennis--if he had errands in town or spent the entire day working in the woods, she was there to assist him in her way--riding next to him in the truck and investigating their surroundings. She loved to play right up to the end of her life. With her rope toy and tennis balls, she always demanded playtime outside and in the evenings while we watched television. She didn't enjoy boarding at a kennel, so Dulce went on just about every vacation we took in her almost 12 years. Sometimes it was challenging, but her company on our adventures always added another element and made our trip better. One fun thing about being out & about with Dulce was the attention we would get from other people due to her breathtaking beauty. Her intelligence was obvious. She was a healthy, spunky girl, and her personality, although challenging at times, added a wonderful dimension to our every moment. Dulce was a unique & precious dog, and we wish she could have been in our lives forever. Janet Roubicek
