This ran from August 23 to August 27. I really liked the question, but I didn't like the host. So I changed again. Check out the new one.
Most people voted for Robert E. Lee, and someone just pointed out to me that he's probably the only one that Americans are familiar with. Of course it would be quite a change to give him a bazooka at the Battle of Antietam, and it can be argued that had he won there, he would have crossed Maryland into Pennsylvania, won recognition from the European powers, and probably ended the war right then. That's quite a change.
I'm surprised though, that only one person voted for Cornwallis (and that was me). If Cornwallis had been Aquaman, he could have told whales and sharks to blockade the Atlantic Coast while he marched north to take on Washington's forces, and then there would have been no America.
And of course you can argue that the farther back you go, the more profound the change, so there is that in favor of Joan of Arc. But since the French won anyway, I can see not voting for her.
Napolean's invisible robot friend would have made an excellent spy, though. And he needed one.
