The Four Generals
Jedite
Jedite attempted to steal energy from large crowds, usually
with the aid of a monster. He was constantly beaten by Sailor Moon,
and was later locked in "eternal sleep" by Queen Beryl. Not much
is known about his powers, as he was not involved in most of the fighting.
Nephlite
Nephlite's attempts to gather energy differed from Jedite's
in that he focused only on one person at a time. He located people
who had the potential to release great energy and then augmented their
abilities. While on a mission to locate the Imperium Silver Crystal,
he fell in love with Serena's friend Molly, who was later used in a plot
against him. He was killed by Zoysite. Nephlite gained his
powers from the stars and constellations. He also used them to find
his potential targets.
Zoysite
Zoysite ignored the previous goal of gathering energy
and focused on obtaining the seven Rainbow Crystals, which could be used
to form the Imperium Silver Crystal. She constantly fought Tuxedo
Mask in her quest to collect them. She was killed by Queen Beryl
when she disobeyed orders by attempting to kill Tuxedo Mask rather than
capture him. She and Malachite were romantically involved.
All of her powers were derived from nature. Ice crystals and razor-edged
flower petals were her weapons of choice.
Malachite
The most powerful of the four generals, Malachite aided
Zoysite in her attempts to collect the rainbow crystals. After she
was killed, he competed with Darien(who had been brainwashed by Queen Beryl)
for the goal of taking the Silver Crystal and wiping out the Sailor Scouts.
He was finally defeated by Sailor Moon, who used the power of the crystal
to turn his power back on himself. Malachite's powers were broad
and formidable. All of them were based on the dark energy of the Negaverse itself, and
involved brute force.
Prince Darien
A temporary form, Prince Darien was brainwashed into believing
that Sailor Moon was his worst enemy. Though he fought to gain the
Silver Crystal, he frequently saved Sailor Moon from Malachite's attacks.
He was healed by Sailor Moon, just before her battle with Queen Beryl.
Prince Darien kept most of his powers as Tuxedo Mask, although he also
fought as Prince Darien. His powers in that form were not fully explained.
