The Way It Was
(and the way it should be?)

I long for the golden age of radio.  Don't misunderstand - I don't necessarily long for the living conditions of the depression era, but I would love to listen to a radio program and have the freedom to paint the pictures associated with the program in my mind.  In my opinion, this is so much more desirable than the mind-numbing drudgery that television has become.

I indulge myself in too many hours of study and research about the equipment and operating practices in use by both amateur operators and commercial radio stations of the time.

These links will take you to some slideshows for some receivers that I have repaired/restored.
