This is extremely hard for me to write.
I am genuinely frightened that such racism still exists.
I am speechless.
That such sentiments could exist in a forum which exists to promote peace and democracy, instead of war and violence -- I'm just incredulous.
My world view; my perspective of the peacemovement; my life has been fundamentally altered by this. I did not know that such mutually contradictory principles could be held so vehemently by a human being. I now see otherwise.
The shock turns to rage, which ultimately turns to sorrow. I am saddened that some people are still blinded by such a myopic view of the world and humankind.
Such a morally reprehensible position requires no attack. It's baselessness is apparent to those who open their eyes.
Suffice to say that when the Romans, the French, the Spanish, the Americans, the Germans, and the Russians were expansionist and oppressive and warmongering, it had nothing to do with their race or ethnicity and everything to do with powerful people in their government.
I still find it difficult to believe that such cognitive dissonance can be possible.
