Annotatating at Image Magick

I am starting with this section because the first thing you should do here is select a font style.Click on font. There are many and if you do not already know which you want to use,by the time you go through them your best bet might be to reenter and start over. You can use the pulldown to select a general area to place the text, and you can use the blank next to it to pinpont exactly where you want it.The first number represents the distance across to the start of your text from the left and the second represents the distance down. For simplicity,I would start by selecting north to put your measurements starting from the top left corner. Then in the blank +(measurement from left)+(measurement down).
Next,I would select a font color. This is right above box color.Click on it and you can select from the colors. If you want your text in a colored box.you can enter a box color as well.

This example has a point size of 18,a density of 96,and I have entered a box color as well.Point size and Density control the size of your letters.Lowering either number will make the text smaller, incrasing will make it larger. On te award below all of the text has a point size of 18 except"1st Place".That I made 25. You can also put an angle of 0-360 degrees on the text. The following example has an angle of 25 degrees.

I am in the habit of only entering one line of text at a time, especially if the lines will be different lengths. This way,I can position each line exactly where I want it.The award above measures 330x290.The first line of text is approximately +170+20,the second line is around +165+40,the third +185+60,the fourth +190+80 the line+180+100,1st +200+105,and Place +190+220.Once you have everything entered the way you like, click on annotate to view your image. If you are satisfied, you can continue or output the image. If not, press back and make adjustments.
