Wisconsin River Stat Sheet

I used to go to college in Stevens Point. Fishing in the river was slow sometimes, but it never skunked me. Some of my favorite spots are below. I must say the Wisconsin River is an awesome fishery!!!!!!! It is a long page so keep scrolling down!

BEAVER POND

Good for early season Northern action. Hey, its on your way to the west side of DuBay Dam. Why not give it a try after opening day.

An ok spot for walleye year round.

BELOW DAM in POINT

Nice fall night fishing spot, crappies too. I have caught many, many a walleye here at night. Good times. Crappies as I said also. Annoying catfish here and there and the ever elusive muskie. Also, don't hesitate to cast a worm into the pipe there, even after dark. Big bluegills lurk sometimes inside.

Smallmouth caught by Brandon early 2000, and a nice crappie from fall 2000

Mike with a catfish, Dec 2002

BANK ONE

Depandable fall night spot. Has not been to great though in since last year. Try in Spring also.

Big catfish we got by Bank One (Fall 1999).

"THE PIPE"

Panfishing all year. This place can be the ticket sometimes, especially icefishing.

Pipe about first ice Nov 2000/ Fall panfish, Sept 2001.

BUKOLT PARK

Nice if you have a boat, crappies in spring, north end. Walleyes all over.
