Other Activities at Wizard Lake
We started out in Morgans with our love for trail riding in the beautiful Alberta Rocky Mountains as a summer get away from our jobs and day to day stresses. We admired the Morgan to excel in mountain trail riding compared to other breeds we had tried. These tough Morgans seemed to enjoy these get aways as much as we did and we enjoyed our trips with them. Easy going is this horses nature and that’s the real enjoyment of this kind of holiday.
After being involved in many years of testimony of the breed we felt that one of the best ways to promote this breed would be to let more people experience them first hand; so we started hosting Mountain Trail Rides and Vacations on horseback; "Morgan Horseback" see Mountain Trips for more information.
We are also very active in promoting our Morgans as a family horse. Our children are actively involved in 4-H and Junior Rodeo and we participate as a family in Gymkhana, Parades, Open Shows, Community Trail Rides etc.
We ride and compete alongside many breeds and with the versatile and consistent willing nature of the Morgan, we have obtained many awards and recognition’s at the end of a day. They are truly a Versatile Breed!!!
