About Ernie the Wonder Buffalo

Ernie the Wonder Buffalo is the head of the herd and the undisputed King of the western plains that range from Texas to Alberta.

He rarely ventures too far south these days, preferring the isolation offered by the wilderness of the Canadian prairies.

Ernie is the pride and joy of the people of Wainwright Alberta who have adopted him as their town mascot and have even built a statue of Ernie on their Main Street.

Unfortunately for all you single Buffalo ladies out there, Ernie is happily involved in a long term relationship with his lovely lady Buffalo Emily. They have 3 calves, Edward, Elsie and Edith.

Ernie's Dad

Ernie's father Eddie the Buffalo was a rebel, who went mad and disowned the herd, spending most of his time wandering alone among the mountains. A rare Albino Buffalo, Eddie used the snow as camouflage when preying on unsuspecting passers by.

Ernie's Grandparents

Ernie's grandparents were the founders of the current Wainwright herd. Eric the Buffalo ruled the Montana herd with an iron hoof and when he decided to move up to Alberta, the rest of them followed without question. With Granny by his side, they made a formidable pair.
