6/1/00 MADONNA & OLIVE
Olive is Tim Kellett -- former keyboardist and trumpet
player for Simply Red -- and singer Ruth-Ann, who met in 1994.  Madonna
first saw Olive perform at a club in Germany, and signed them to her label
last year.  Olive's first release -- "Extra Virgin" -- was released in 1997
on RCA Records, and eventually sold half a million copies worldwide. Olive's
first single, "You're Not Alone," became a number one hit in the U.K., and a
Top 40 hit here in the U.S.  Olive now makes its Maverick debut with a
stunning new album, "Trickle," a heady fusion of soaring vocals, edgy beats,
and classic songwriting.  The album's first single, a remake of the 10cc
classic, "I'm Not In Love," also appeared on the soundtrack for Madonna's
"The Next Best Thing."

1/12/00 MADONNA CANCELS SUPER BOWL PERFORMANCE
Quicker than a ray of light, Madonna has canceled her recently announced
plans to perform at the Super Bowl. "After meeting with Madonna in London,
we agreed that due to her recording schedule there is simply not sufficient
time to put all the elements in place that are required to deliver a performance on thelevel of Super Bowl excellence," said Madonna's manager Caresse
Norman. Our lady of perpetual re-invention had planned to sing Don
McLean's "American Pie."
"I am sorry that I will not be able to join all the great entertainers who will be
performing on Super Bowl Sunday. My sincere apologies to the NFL,
ABC-TV, as well as my fans. I look forward to the possibility of doing
something with the NFL in the future," stated Madonna.

1/10/00 MADONNA SELLS LONDON HOUSE
Madonna is thought to have become increasingly concerned for her and
daughter Lourdes safety in the wake of the knife attack on ex-Beatle Harrison
in his home just after Christmas.
According to a UK tabloid, a Madonna source explained: 'It was an
unfortunate mistake. The house is perfectly visible from the road – a ridiculous
situation for anyone in a high profile position'.
1/5/00 MADONNA AT THE SUPERBOWL
A version of Don McLean's classic 'American Pie' which Madonna recorded
for the soundtrack to her forthcoming film, The Next Big Thing, is to be
premiered live at the American Superbowl.

Madonna will join Tina Turner in a line-up celebrating great American music of
the 20th Century that will form part of the pre-game entertainment. The
ceremony will be performed on a grand scale with a cast and crew line-up of
1,250 involved in the salute to American musical genres like jazz, blues and
country.
1/1/00 NEW ALBUM NEWS
Madonna is currently in London working with British house DJ Sasha and
producer William Orbit on the follow up to her hugely successful 'Ray Of Light'
album. A source close to Sasha confirmed that he is writing material for the
album, though it is not known how many tracks he will collaborate with
Madonna on.

"It's mad," said the insider. "Madonna's next album is definitely going to have a
progressive house feel to it."

Sasha, who has in the past completed remixes for Madonna, is a highly
respected DJ on the global progressive house scene and has a residency at
New York's famous Twilo nightclub. Fellow Brit William Orbit produced 'Ray
Of Light' which was Madonna's most commercially successful album since the
20 million selling 'Like A Virgin'.

Orbit, who is also in the studio with Madonna, said: "She is much more
expeditious than anyone I've worked with. She drives things at a very fast pace.
We've been slamming tracks down - we might even ace the last LP. I'm
inspired."
1/1/00 MADONNA'S AMERICAN PIE
Madonna has recorded a version of Don McLean's 'American Pie' for her
forthcoming movie The Next Big Thing that is due for release early next year.
The song is reportedly being considered as a single.

The star has completed filming and tied up her work on the soundtrack which
will feature two new Madonna songs. The film, in which Madonna stars
alongside Rupert Everett and Benjamin Bratt, tells the tale of two friends who
decide to have a child together, despite the fact that Everett's character is
homosexual.
