Charlie Joiner Canvasback Decoy Pair
They are signed and dated 1957. They are in
original paint. The pair have been hunted over.
The hen has a couple of shot scars. They show
less than average use for 40 year old hunting decoys.
Both are branded with a old "W" or "M' depending on which way you look
at them. You will be hard pressed to find a better pair of Joiners.

Sam Barnes Duck Decoy
A very old wooden decoy by Sam Barnes (b. 1847  to  d. 1926)
from Harve De Grace, MD. This one was used for some
serious hunting. It is in old repaint. It has some dings and
bruises from 100 years of use. Still a great old Upper Bay
hunting decoy from the Susquehanna River.

Grayson Chesser Miniature Canvasback
Duck Decoy
This is a early mini Canvasback done in 1978 by Grayson
Chesser of Jenkins Bridge on Virginia's Eastern Shore.
Grayson's mini's are not easy to come by and this
is a great example from this carver. It is about 8 in. long.

Jimmy Bowden Miniature Hen Merganser  Decoy
Jimmy is from Chincoteague, VA and learned his trade from
Miles Hancock. This mini is signed by him and dated 2004.
He has changed his mini's now and no longer makes them
like this. It is 7 1/2 inched long.

Paul Gibson Walnut Duck Decoy
A full size Paul Gibson decoy from Havre de Grace, MD.
It was left natural to show the walnut wood. It is signed
and dated 1972 on the bottom. It has glass eyes and
is in very good condition. It is 12 inches long.

Preening Passenger Pigeon Decoy
made in the Seaford style by Jamie Reason
in 1998. That is what is written on the wooden
stand base. It is a full size decoy. Jamie Reason
does his carving out on Long Island, N.Y. Under the
birds tail  his signiture "JR" mark is carved into the
decoy. It has raised wings and a great look.

Travis Tyler Miniature Hen Canvasback Duck Decoy
from Crisfield, MD. This is a very nice piece of folk art.
It is 8 inches long and 4 inches tall. It is in very good
original condition.

Miniature Cast Iron Adrvertising Duck
by Klaff Industries. This one is five inches
long and in great condition. It is also an
ashtray. It has the original brown stove finish
on it. This were made as give aways and
salesman samples by stove companies and
foundries.

Carved wooden Shore Bird with its wings up.
Outstanding  carving on this one. I am not sure who the
carver is. There is some cracking at the body joints where
the wings are attached as seen in the picture below. I am not
sure of the species so this may be a miniature or it may be
a Humming bird.

made by Richard Gick in 2003 from
Illchester, MD. It stands 12 in. tall and
has glass eyes. There is a wire attached
to hang it on the wall or a tree. Great folk
art carving from the ole "Hillbilly Carver".

This is a Mallard Gary made to hunt over. It is
rigged with a weight and leather strap for the
rope. It is in great condition.

all original condition. The maker is

Wooden Owl Decoy.
It was made out of a duck decoy body.
There is a hole in the bottom for
the stand or it can hang from the iron
hook in the head. It is 13 1/2 inches tall
without the stand and 17 1/2 inches tall
on the stand. It has glass eyes, leather
ears and a horn or bone beak. Not an antique.
It is made to look older than it is.

Miniature Merganser Duck Decoy
It is signed and dated on the bottom but is hard
to make it out. It looks like "Jim Hudson or Hodson"
2-10-91. It is in very good condition and is 7 in. long.

This is a great looking pair of mini Wood Ducks from
Grayson Chesser of Jenkins Bridge on the Eastern Shore

on the bottom. It is 8 in. long and finished in varnish with
glass eyes.

Hoopers Island Merganser Duck Decoy
This is a great old Merganser made on Hoopers
Island in Dorchester Co. on Maryland's Eastern
Shore. Probably was made by (Gunner) Alvin Meekins.
It is over 14 in. long. There is a chain for the ballast weight
on the bottom. It has tack eyes. Made in the 40's or 50's.

with a rabbit and pheasant hanging. It is 9 in. tall
and 5 in. wide off of the board it is on. It is heavy but
I am not sure if it is cast iron or not. It is in very good

made by Ed Phillips from Cambridge, MD. Decoys
made by Mr. Phillips are very difficult to find and his
miniatures are even harder to aquire. They are around
3 in. long. The Pintail has no paint on it. The Gadwall has
a chip under the bill.

Made of lead and painted to resemble a ear
of corn. You can use them on your decoys or

This is a very nice wooden mini signed on the bottom
"Roberts". It is about 3 inches tall and stands on a
sliced tree limb. It looks to have been made in the
1950's or 1960's and is in great condition.

Miniature Bob Litzenberg Sleeper Green Wing Teal Pair
They are signed Robert G. Litzenberg and dated 1995.
A very rare pair of mini duck decoys from this Elkton, MD.
maker. The hen has some some crazing on the tail. You
may never get a chance at a pair like this again!

from Dorchester County here on the Eastern Shore of

 A  mini hen that is just over 10 in. long. It looks
like a hen Pintail or maybe a Teal to me. I am not sure.
The bottom of the decoy and under the bill have not been
painted.

Miniature Goose Decoy Pair
A great pair of balsa wood mini geese. They
are each carved from one piece of balsa wood
including the base they stand on. Very nicely done
with raised wings. One goose has had a cracked
neck that has been glued on at some time. Other
than that they are in great condition. They are
around 5 inches tall including the base. They
are not signed. At one time they were on
a lamp.

It is a full size wooden decoy made in the 1950's or
early 1960's. Great folky decoy from the Eastern
Shore. This decoy is about 8 1/2 inches long and in
original, worn paint from use.

Wooden Mallard Duck Decoy Box from Cabela's
The decoy is attached to the top of the box. The Mallard
drake is 15 in. long. It is branded Cabela's on the underside
of the lid. It is in very good codntion. There is a brass shell
attached by the decoy.
