X-Pac vs. "Double J" Jeff Jarret

Jeff Jarret
X-Pac's most violent feud of his first summer back was with "Double J". Week after week, Jarret and X-Pac would get in matches that involved chairs and guitars. Before it was all said and done, these two guys dragged Southern Justice and D-Generation X into their rivalry. At SummerSlam '98, a HAIR VS. HAIR match was set up between the two. Both guys were recognized by their long hair and neither wanted to lose it. X-Pac ended up winning the match and with the help of the New Age Outlaws, HHH, and the Headbangers X-Pac cut Jarret's hair in the middle of the ring after his victory. It was probably a better thing for Jarret because he got a new nasty attitude and eventually became Tag Team Champions with Owen Hart. Before Jarret's tage reign, Jarret and X-Pac fought a series of Guitar On Pole matches for the European Belt in which X-Pac won. The feud between X-Pac and Jarret picked up again after Hart and Jarret won the belts. X-Pac began wrestling tag matches with HHH or BA Billy Gunn for the belts. X-Pac finally beat Jarret and Hart with the help of Kane to become the new tag team champs Needless to say, Hart and jarret want those belts back. Tragedy prevented Jarret and Hart from regaining, the belts that the Acolytes eventually took. However, the feud was reborn over yet another belt when JJ won the IC strap.
This one is finally over as Double J had creative differences with Jim Ross and Steve Austin and jumped to WCW.
