I just got an "update" from Peter wherein he states that ALP, Inc. 
now plans to focus their voter registration efforts in Maricopa 
County.  This is 180 degrees different from what he told me before, 
and what I reported at the convention -- that the ALP, Inc. plan was 
to register everywhere BUT Maricopa county.

Just thought you guys might like a little heads up as to what might 
be going on in your area.  He plans to raise about $10,000 to pay for 
2000 registrations.  As far as I know, no matching funds are involved.

I have no idea as to Peter's motivation for the about face in 
strategy.  On the good side, if MCLP and ALP, Inc. are both 
vigorously pursuing voter registration drives with the goal of 
independantly registering 2000 voters, it could leave Maricopa with a 
comfortable cushion of ballot acces for a while.
