IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On April 19, 2001, two self-defense initiatives were filed with the Secretary of States Office. The passage of one or both of these initiatives will insure that the Citizens of Arizona will no longer face the bane of a legislature or local governments interference in the Citizens' right to protect themselves and their families.

On July 3, 2001, the Defense Initiatives will take on a new association. We will be joining together with Derrick Lee, using his special innate abilities to manage the gathering of signatures and fund raising that will ensure that the initiatives will make it to the ballot for the 2002 November election.

The formal announcement of this association will be made on July 3, 2001 at approximately 3:00pm or shortly thereafter from the City of Glendale Municipal Building. The announcement will be made in conjunction with the filing of the petitions signatures from the Petition sponsored by Ernie Hancock.

Ernie, with the assistance of Derrick Lee has gathered more than four (4) times the number of signatures required for the measure to qualify for the next Glendale General Election. That petition, when approved by the Glendale Voters, will require that in any City of Glendale sponsored election that 100% of the ballots will be manually counted and that only the manually counted ballots will be used to verify the election.

There will also be an additional announcement that Ernie and others will be sponsoring a similar statewide initiative for 100% manual vote count validation, with the assistance of Derrick Lee.

Arrangements have now been made to accept donations for the fund raising that is going to be needed to gather the signatures for the Self-Defense Initiatives. All donations can be sent to.

*Note Arizona Law requires that any donations over $25.00 must be accompanied by the name, mailing address, occupation and employer.

Derrick Lee and I personally direct our requests for donations form firearms dealers and Concealed Carry permit holders. If you know the names and addresses of any of the firearms dealers in the State of Arizona or elsewhere that are interested in truly supporting the right of the Citizen to defend him or herself, then please forward there address to the following e-mail address:

freedominitiatvs@qwest.net

Derrick as also indicated that the seed money needed to raise the larger sums can be raised through coordinated yards sales. He has indicated that least 20 people will be needed to hold those yard sales. Anyone wishing to conduct a yard sale at their home or elsewhere contact me at the e-mail address above or contact Derrick Lee at derricklee@edmail.com

Finally, all future updates and contacts on the self-defense initiatives will be made at the Freedom Initiatives e-mail address above. Anyone interested in obtaining the Text of the initiatives should write to the mailing address above, send an e-mail, or call 623.842.1422. Ask for John Wilde.

So come on down to Glendale City Hall on July 3, 2001 and watch the fun as we show the government that the people are preparing to fight and take back their government. See ya there.

Feel free to forward this to any and all of your own lists.

g'day John Wilde
