Ferrari's continue to dominate in sleep-inducing monotony.

Williams' Juan-Pablo Montoya takes the pole, but after a fast start, Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello overtakes him by the 2nd lap. Shortly after, teammate Michael Schumacher does so as well.

Schumacher's 1-stop strategy wins out over Barrichello's 2-stop strategy. Barrichello gets shuffled back to 3rd, behind Mclaren's David Coulthard as Ferrari's manipulation to get Schumacher the victory works against Barrichello.
