Jenson Button is the surprise winner as rain and retirements by Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher dominate.

Button takes over the lead in his Honda when Alonso departs while leading after his Renault breaks down. Schumacher leaves with 3 laps in the race, however, manages to claim 1 point for an 8th place finish after judges disqualify one finisher. The point allows Schumacher to pull within 10 points of Alonso's lead.

It's Button's 1st career win. Mclaren's Pedro DelaRosa takes second, with BMW's Nick Heidfeld grabbing the final podium spot.
