Days after Boston College's departure to the ACC is announced, Syracuse, which also talked about joining the ACC, makes a 'statement' as R.J. Anderson throws 215 yards and 3 TDs as the Orangemen vent their bitterness. Anderson also rushes for 73 yards and 1 TD.

After Anderson opens the scoring with a 12-yard TD pass to Rashard Williams in the 1st quarter, he connects with Johnnie Morant on a 52-yarder and a 10-yarder in the 2nd quarter to open a 19-7 lead. Syracuse breaks the game open in the 3rd when Walter Reyes scores on a 1-yard TD run and then Anthony Smith picks up a blocked punt and returns it 4 yards for another TD.
