Paul Peterson goes 12-of-15 for 115 yards and 1 TD before leaving with a broken hand late in the 1st half. However, backup Matt Ryan steps in, throwing for 121 yards, and a 32-yard TD pass to Larry Lester on the opening series of the 2nd half to open a 24-3 lead.

L.V. Whitworth runs for 151 yards and 2 TDs. However, Temple does manage to roll up 408 yards offense against the Boston College defense. Walter Washington goes 25-of-38 for 283 yards and 2 TDs, while running for 73 yards in his final game.
