Clemson appears to have the game in hand, leading 24-14 until Reggie Ball and Charles Johnson combine on a pair of TD passes in the final 1:50. The final TD comes after a botched punt snap, setting up Georgia Tech at the 11-yard line where Johnson pulls in a TD catch over a defender with :11 left.

Defenses dominate for much of the game until the middle of the 4th quarter when Reggie Merriweather breaks free for a 62-yard TD run giving the Tigers a 17-7 lead. After Georgia Tech answers, Kyle Browning scores on a 54-yard TD run for a 24-14 lead. Then Johnson becomes too much for Clemson.

Johnson catches an 8-yard TD pass capping a 90-yard drive. The TD is 2nd of 3 by Johnson. Johnson catches 8 passes for 127 yards in his 2nd game. Ball goes 20-of-36 for 251 yards and 4 TDs. Charlie Whitehurst is 20-of-42 for 275 yards and 1 TD.
