Orangemen send the #17 Eagles out of the Big East with a 43-17 embarrassment.

Syracuse stumbling through one of its worst seasons, ends Boston College's BCS plans with a shocking defeat in Chestnut Hill. Starting safety Diamond Ferri steps into a depleted Orangemen backfield and rips BC for 141 yards and 2 TDs, and also adds another TD on a 44-yard INT return that seals Syracuse's win in the 4th quarter.

The Orangemen grab the immediate lead on Damien Rhodes' 69-yard TD run on the 1st play from scrimmage. Ferri adds TD runs of 7 and 4 yards as Syracuse opens a 24-3 lead in the 2nd quarter before BC finally finds the end zone with a special teams' TD in the final minute of the half.

Boston College draws to within 30-17 on Matt Ryan's 11-yard TD pass to Joel Hazard with 6:53 left. But the Ferri picks Ryan and returns it for the clinching TD.
