#1 Trojans stutter some, stagger a little, and then finish off Hokies 24-13 in Landover, Md.

Virginia Tech leads 10-7 at the half after Bryan Randall connects with freshman Josh Hyman on a 12-yard TD. Randall finishes with 153 yards passing and 82 yards rushing.

However, USC has too many answers. Reggie Bush speeds thru the Tech defense to haul in a 53-yard TD from Matt Leinart for a 14-10 lead. The Hokies get to within 14-13 in the 4th quarter, but Leinart and Bush connect on their 3rd TD of the night, a 29-yarder w/ 5:42 remaining.

Leinart misses some passes but keeps finding Bush. Leinart finishes 19-of-29 for 272 yards and 3 TDs. Bush catches 5 passes for 127 yards and all 3 TDs, and adds 27 yards rushing.
