Game Notes

Larry Coker... You're 1 more loss from DESERVING to be canned for lousy recruiting, pathetic motivation, and horrible preparation as evidenced by 9 QB sacks by the offensive line, and repeated special teams miscues.

#14 Seminoles win 10-7 as the #9 Hurricanes fail to execute a simple snap to allow a game-tying chip-shot.

Brian Monroe and John Rochford combine to blow the decisive snap and placement. Earlier Monroe fails to place the ball properly contributing to another missed FG, and Monroe also has a punt blocked.

Florida State is able to win despite just 170 yards of offense and quarterbacks Drew Weatherford and Xavier Lee completing a combined 8-of-26 passes.

Miami's Kyle Wright survives inept pass blocking to complete 16-of-28 for 232 yards and 1 TD, but also throws two interceptions. Tyrone Moss runs for 120 yards.

"The defense kept giving us opportunities to win the game," Miami coach Larry Coker said. "We just couldn't get it done."

After Coker over-uses that pathetic lame excuse in 2004, he trots back out to start 2005, proving his excuses are as lame as his coaching and leadership.
