Game Notes

Terps manhandle the Boilermakers en route to a 24-7 victory.

Maryland scores 21 unanswered points to start the game, forces a pair of turnovers and limits Purdue to just 21 yards rushing to control throughout.

After Purdue misses a FG on its 2nd series, Maryland takes over and methodically drives for TDs on the next 2 possessions, a 4-yard TD pass from Sam Hollenbach to Joey Haynos and a 1-yard run by Cory Jackson. Then Hollenbach adds a 46-yard TD pass to Darrius Heyward-Bey.

The Boilermakers creep back into the game with Curtis Painter's 12-yard TD pass to Greg Orton just before halftime, but a fumble early in the 2nd half sets up Dan Ennis' 22-yard FG re-establishing the Terps' grasp. Hollenbach finishes 15-of-24 for 223 yards and 2 TDs as Maryland outgains Purdue 429-to-285.
