Miami holds Virginia Tech to just 139 yards total offense, but 2 INTs hand the Hokies the win. Trailing 3-0, Kirby Freeman replaces Kyle Wright only to throw an interception to Brandon Flowers, that Flowers returns to the Miami 36. The turnover sets up Branden Ore's 2-yard TD run for a 10-0 lead.

Miami rallies to tie it with a 55-yard FG by Jon Peattie and 50-yard TD run by Tyrone Moss. But a tipped pass by Kyle Wright is intercepted by Xavier Adibi at the Canes' 26, setting up Ore's 7-yard TD for the game-winner with 1:37 remaining in the game.
