Miami can never recover from a disasterous and embarrassing first half when they turn it over 3 times and fall behind 27-0 to one of Div. 1's weakest teams. Anthony Elzy runs for 95 yards, including a 39-yard TD run that gives UNC a quick 7-0 lead. T.J. Yates adds a 1-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter, while Brandon Tate puts the Heels up 27-0 with his 54-yard TD run.

Miami rallies in the 2nd half, closing to within 27-20 on Kyle Wright's 97-yard TD hook up with Darnell Jenkins. But Conner Barth's 3rd and 4th FGs are enough to keep the Hurricanes' rally from being complete.
