Kansas wins in its first major bowl since 1969, capping a 12-1 season. Todd Reesing runs for a TD and throws for another, leading Kansas over Virginia Tech. After Aqib Talib returns an INT 60 yards for the initial score, Reesing's 13-yard TD pass to Marcus Henry opens a 17-0 lead in the 2nd quarter.

Virginia Tech closes to within 17-14 on a 1-yard TD run by Brandon Ore in the 2nd quarter and Justin Harper's 84-yard punt return for a score in the 3rd quarter. But the Jayhawks respond, stretching the lead again on Reesing's 2-yard TD run early in the 4th quarter.
